she's thankful for love and support received. her brother is raising money to help the family pay the bills. >> police arrested a man suspected of opening fire in a crowded shopping mall. a s.w.a.t. team helped capture them around 4:00 this morning. witnesses say they fired into the west valley mall friday evening. it's unclear anyone was being targeted or if it was a random attack. police plan to ask prosecutors to charge with attempted murder. >> we have a cold case conviction to tell but in san francisco. o tichlt s hughes has been found guilty of a rape and murder of a woman killed in 1991. more on this conviction that comes more than two decades after the crime. vick? >> 61-year-old otis hughes

convicted of first degree murder after a six-week trial. when sentenced the d.a.wants the judge to give life without parole. his victim was a aspiring documentary film maker. karen wong was rapeed and murdered in 1991. her body nouned an apartment. the case went cold, for 17 years. october, 2008, otis hughes with a long history of home burglaries was released from prison. two months later rearrested and charged with the murder of karen wong the district attorney explains why. >> he had to provide a dna sample under dna sample in 2008 matched 1991 murder. >> joe toomy was working on cold

authorities investigating a robbery that happened. police say two men hit the victim in the head around 6:30 then stole his cash. the 67-year-old taken to the hospital with a head injury but is expected to survive. two thieves got away. it is open 24 hours per day. they're reviewing to see if it was recorded. >> fire officials revised estimates for how many homes were destroyed in the forest fire on the central coast. 34 homes destroyed in the blaze near big sur. 12 more than thought. u.s. forest service says it burned almost one and a
