at the veteran's center at market street. those leading the search or former and active military with search-and-rescue experience. they say that he has not been heard in offer a week, a united states navy veteran of the iraq and afghanistan wars. his friends and relatives are worried that he is on the streets of san francisco in need of medical thank. they say he came to the bay area around thanksgiving day holiday to see a friend and he wasn't acting like himself so he was checked into san francisco general. they say he was released last week after two days in the hospital and no one has heard from him since that time not even his father. use all we know is this is not indicative of how he normally operates. he is in constant contact with his friends and with his family, and very loving and connected go and this is very out of character. >> they have already put out flyers around the city with his pictures and a description of 6' tall and 200 pounds and blue

eyes and a scar on the forehead. he is 30 years old. they land to split up the city into zone and send teams to each zone. they say they going to be in san francisco until they have turned it upside down looking for him. thank you, amy. a twist in the brain dead 13-year-old oakland girl. undisclosed medical care facility is offering to take in jahi mcmath but children's hospital oakland is refusing to provide the surgery she would need to move there. jahi mcmath suffered complications from a routine tonsillectomy that left her brain dead and on a haven't -- a ventilator. the judge ruled she does not have to be kept on life support beyond monday evening at 5. the new facility requires a feeding tube be implanted and children's hospital oakland said the judge's ruling is clear and

authorities say a 38-year-old man identified as ben free man drove to the hospital and shot his ex-wife's sister, mother, and father killing the former mother-in-law and then shot and killed a hospital administrator at the hospital that he used to work for and wounded the man's wife. his current wife was found dead in the couple's home. investigators say free man, worked at three hospitals in the area in the past few years. >> today, we will get insight into the police investigation into last year's new stun shooting massacre. police will release throughs of pages of documents including text, photos and 9-1-1 calls to sandy hook elementary school after 20 children were murdered and six adults. >> >> bizarre story from san jose where a, worry was rescued from the back of a garbage truck. this happened at 6:00 last night. the san jose fire department

in pacifica pier, you can see it is rough with concern today because the warm weather and the holiday week are drawing a lot people to the beach. coast guard says that many do not realize how quickly the large waves sweep in. >> in pacifica the coast guard fear as sneaker waiver may have pulled a surfer to sea with the search checked yesterday afternoon after calls about a surfer in trouble. crews searched until dark but never found the surfer. >> investigators are expecting to start going through the wreck an of a small plane that crashed in the front yard of a home. the plane went down the last night near the fresno executive airport killing a man and a young boy. officials say the pilot was trying to land when the plane clipped a tall tree and tried to regain criminal but went down in a neighborhood about 800' short of the runway.
