weeks following complications after a transtonsillectomy at oakland hospital. reporter: members of the church of all faiths actually had hoped to have a fundraiser to help pay for jahi mcmath's family to move her out of children's hospital. that fundraiser was cancelled. instead the pastor led those assembled in prayer. one of the organizers for the event. he says the family is working hard to line up a medical fa facility that will accept jahi and keep her on life south but they learned a southern california site they had been hoping on decided against receiving her. >> i was informed via the attorney to not have the fundraiser because we're still trying to solidify a facility

for jahi, and we definitely don't want to raise funds for something that is not iron clad. reporter: the family had launched an online crowd sourcing page to raise money to transfer jahi, and as of today, they reached their goal of thousands. now, today, a spokesperson for children's hospital also released a statement. they say, in part, our physicians have yet to receive a single call or message from the facility under consideration. now, hospital spokesperson is holding a news conference. she did that just a few minutes ago. we'll have details coming up at 6:00. the family had also mentioned they were in communication with a facility in new york. today the organizers of this event say they have not heard anything back from that facility. reporting live in oakland, abc7 news. thank you. raider nation stepped up today to help a young woman who may

never walk again statement bullet struck 19-year-old dominique romero of richard inside her home. the bullet lodged next to her final cord and doctors cannot removed it. raider fans penned encouragement on a giant poster outside the kole see. the family faces major financial hardship and approached raider fan -- appreciate raider fans pitching in to help out. >> thank you to every single person, and dominique would like to say thank you and will when she is able to speak in a new home, a little bit of makeup, but she has a big smile on her face. >> richmond police are offering a $15,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person who shot romero. two people are recovering in the hospital tonight, including a san francisco firefighter, after a crash involving a fire truck and a car. the collision happened this

morning at the intersection of fifth and howard streets. the same site of a more infamous crash in june where the firefighter driving war arrested for dui. cornell bernard is live there tonight. reporter: the intersection has re-opened to traffic. that firefighter is recovering from his injuries, and it's not the first time accidents involving fire trucks have happened here before. >> it was noticeable, large thud, like something had really made solid impact. >> jim heard the collision between a ladder truck responding to call and this mercedes station wagon. greg saw it. >> the siren, and i turn around, and boom. that fast. real quick. crazy. reporter: the impact over the crash spun the car around. a firefighter riding in the front cab of the station 1 ladder truck was injured, and

sent to the hospital. along with a passenger in the mercedes. both injuries not serious. >> had the lights and sirens on. >> police say the car failed to yield to the fire truck, driving north on fifth. >> it appears the mercedes, the civilian vehicle, failed to stop. for the fire truck. >> accidents involving station 1 fire trucks have happened at the same intersection before. the abc7 news eye team showed you this surveillance video. a ladder truck colliding with a motorcyclists, throwing the rider into a hydrant, seriously injuring him. the firefighter driving left the scene and was later arrested on spunks of dui. he has resigned, but the investigation is still ongoing. the same surveillance cameras which captured that crash likely recorded today's collision, too, but this accident appears not the fault of first responders.

the firefighter driving tested negative for drugs and alcohol. the emergency call this ladder truck was responding to was handled by another engine company in san francisco, abc7 news. not far from the scene the chp is investigating a fatal accident involving a pedestrian. happened at 2:30 this morning on interstate 80. the victim was on the freeway. he has not been identified. the driver of the car is cooperating with investigators. officers say alcohol does not appear to be involved. >> san francisco police are searching for the molttive in a shooting death of a man in japantown, 36-year-old david gelford of modesto was standing on the sidewalk across the street from a theater when he was shot. it happened just before 2:00 this morning as a nearby nightclub was letting out. no arrests have been made. >> a water conservation order is a possibility after california experience one of its driest months and years on record.

a mandatory 20% conservation order is already in effect in nothing so many, and sacramento county is asking residents to reduce water use. 2013 is a drought year with less than 11 inches of rain, far less than the yearly average of 52 inches. a key water source, the sierra snow pack, received only 10% of its average snowfall this month. the governor has assembled a task force to monitor the issue. when will we see any rain? let's check in with leigh glaser. >> i have to tell you that coming up we'll look at just our deficit in terms of our rainfall, and the next ten to 12 day outlook says, no moisture expected for the bay area, and then it's -- that is something we do not like to see. we'll cheng that out. plus, take a look at our new year's eve and new year's day forecast. ahead, south dakota bombing at a train -- train accident in

mostly sunny for your monday, and then this dry, mild weather pattern will hang on, as i just mentioned, into the new year. record highs today, can you believe it? we had some. oakland airport, 72, a record high. oakland museum, downtown oakland, 73. a record high. even s.f.o., 68. mountain view, tiled the record. the existing record for today of 68. so, really above normal temperatures as we have seen the past three to four days. overnight toward tonight, going to cut a little bit of to the wind off so the coolest readings in the north bay, upper 20s, near 30, so don't be surprised by frost. and we'll moderate temperatures a bit as we look towards san francisco and even the peninsula. you can see what we're dealing with. high pressure still keeping command over the bay area and most of the pacific northwest. shooting the jet stream well to the north of us.

unfortunately, the next ten to 12-day outlook -- this is a little hitch in the weather pattern yesterday. that's what led to the offshore winds. but you can see the jet stream starting to pull out. pushing once again back to the north. so we will look for above normal temperatures once again tomorrow, right on into the first part of our holiday on tuesday night and wednesday. and unfortunately, this dry spell is going to stay with us. how dry? take a look at our season to date. you can see the percentage of normal. 24% of normal rainfall for san francisco. 15% for ukiah. 33, san jose, and the dryest year in san francisco you can see we're looking at it right now, little over five and a half inches. if you're heading to tau he for new year's eve, going to be dry there. clouds on new year's eve and new year's day.
