year's day, that the 19-year-old died last night. she was hit by a pickup truck crossing paseo padre parkway carrying her baby in her arms. the 3-month-old child was struck and rushed to childrens hospital in critical condition. her 17-year-old sister crossing the street with them suffered nonlife threatening injuries. it happened before 10:00 last night the two sisters and baby were in a car stopped near intersection of paseo padre. the lieutenant explains what happened next. >> there was an argument inside of the vehicle they're traveling in. there were several parties inside of the car. as a result the two young ladies exited that car. we don't believe they were arguing with each other. >> the two sisters with the baby walked on to the parkway, hit by the truck in the middle of the street. >> she was excited to be a mom.
