traffic is starting to stack up a little bit on the right-hand side with no word of metering lights as of yet. breaking news, firefighters are were watching a marsh this morning after a tire there forced the evacuation of a homeless encampment. we are joined by amy hollyfield. firefighters are not letting down their guard. they have their hoses drawn. they say it is too dry. there is too much vegetation. they cannot walk away. the fire broke out at 11:00 in a field behind the mall. you can see the nordstrom from here. the field is hid were. there is a marsh between here and the mall with plenty trees and shrubs and that is why it is a popular homeless encampment. there were people here last night. firefighterred had to help six people away from the fire to escape the known was hurt.

three-year-old girl declared brain dead after a dental procedure says her daughter has two days to live after going into cardiac arrest 26 minutes into a root canal. her parents are suing the dentist. the lawsuit alleged she was given five different sedatives without consideration of how the combination of the drugs would react on the body of a these-year-old girl. the family now is hoping for a miracle. >> we all hoped and the doctors are in tears. they have children. we are waiting for her to wake up. the mother is a registered thursday and says her concern is quality of hive in her time left. they have not issued a response to the lawsuit. >> many uninsured members are unhappy with the website of obamacare. 59 percent of those without insurance safer they had a negative experience on the

breaking news. >> a pedestrian was hit and killed on 280. katie marzullo is on the scene. what is the latest, katie? >> we are standing northbound lane, two northbound lanes are closed because of the accident but the person who was killed is still in the lanes on the southbound lane just beyond us where you can see the fire truck. the coroner is on the scene but the body is here. this started an hour ago. if you look this way into the northbound lane you can see the car wreck, two cars got into an accident in the northbound lane. only one driver is in each car with no passengers a female driver was taken to the hospital but the driver of the other car got out jumped into the median, southbound, and that is where the purpose was hit and killed by at least one car. i talked with c.h.p. and the

sergeant could not tell me whether more than one vehicle actually hit this person. he tells me that whoever hit him first did not stay and they do not have any vehicle description. they are putting the call out and anyone who might know about this accident, call the c.h.p. they are looking for that driver. if we can turn around this way, we can show you the backup on southbound 280, all lanes, southbound 280, if san francisco, starting here around ocean avenue, all lanes are shut down. the cars have turn off their engine and are sitting and waiting and c.h.p. is not able to give us an estimate as to how long it could take for them to clear this seen. as i mentioned earlier, northbound lanes, two northbound lanes of 280, closed, because the cars are in lanes but you can see that leaves two inwhats -- two lanes of traffic. a pedestrian hit and killed southbound 280 here in san

matt and kristen? >> back to breaking news, we first break on twitter over night firefighters or the seen of a late night fire at a marsh. amy hollyfield is joining us with an update. amy? >> good morning, look behind me, they still have their hose lines pulled this morning and still putting water out on the field just in case, and they are feeling good, saying it has been quiet over might and the fire was dangerous for several reasons. it was a huge fire. there were people here, so firefighters say they had to protect the people first. this is a hopeless encampment and people were at risk. they helped get six people to safety. firefighters had to deal with a propane tank out here being used to feed the people and to keep warm. some of them burst because of the fire. and there is a dry conditions in
