good afternoon, everybody, i'm larry beil. >> a big chill is on with arctic blast griping much of the nation now, making life and travel difficult. 3,000 flights were cancelled today. >> sfo reports 147 delays and cancellations fewer reported at san jose and oakland. jet blue halted operations today at logan airport and three new york area airports to give crews time to rest. a lot of travellers don't have a choice at this point but to wait this out the holiday inn express released 60 rooms to airlines for

throat procedure. last night she left. so far no one is saying where she has been taken. >> we have some good news to report. >> 24 days after she was pronounced brain dead, jahi mcmath left and her husband provided us with this video. >> jahi is in a health care facility receiving all of the health care any human being should deserve to have. >> the 13-year-old was removed at about 8:00 p.m sunday night when a ambulance pulled up to the back of childrens. jahi's uncle says he was there when she was transferred. >> she looked peaceful, like she's sleeping. >> her family and their attorney claims she's been given nutrition and wanted a tracheotomy done on the girl.

gary lee bullock appeared in court pleading not guilty to murder charges. >> two police officers were injured this morning trying to arrest a suspected drug dealer in south san francisco. this is the south of market neighborhood the officers chased the man into a market and that is where he threw hot coffee on the officer the man was arrested for battery. >> a top washington lawmaker is in the bay area and encouraging students to enroll. congressman met signing up for classes and dropped by 30% the last two years as the school fights to keep accreditation meaningless money for the school and fewer options for students. >> where are the students? what's happening in their lives? what difference sit making in our economic growth and success

san jose state says four students are on interim suspension and one student made a court appearance today. matt keller was there. >> 18-year-old wearing a blue shirt covered his face walking out of the hall of justice this morning. just minutes before the suspended student pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor hate crime and battery charges. he and

three other white freshman are accused of harassing their then 17-year-old blook roommate. saying they hung a confederate flag and nazi paraphernalia, put a bike lock around his neck and locked him in his room. prosecutors say the alleged victim is supportive of the case against the roommates. >> he is a strong young man and back in school and moving forward with his life. he understands how important this case is and is cooperating fully. >> several protests were held following the arrests as leadership apoll jiedz for the way the situation is handled. his attorney says he's an honor student studying engineering. beachler now living back in his family's home in bakersfield waiting for word on his status

cameras above the door showing a man with long black hair wearing eye glasses just before explosions. two days later fbi made an arrest. >> black friday law enforcement officers arrested a man from daily city, california in connection with the fire. >> the complaint says he called police friday saying he set the tire. officers took him into custody and called fbi. then told investigators he doused the entrance with three containers of gasoline, then attempted to the light a fire but the fire did not ignite then used a large black lighter. the second attempt was successful. fbi believes this is a criminal case. >> court
