san francisco bay is home to the largest urban fishery what. is being caught may surprise you, herring. there are signs numbers might be on the rise >> that is a souvend a herring spawn. >> there are birds on the bay, there are likely herring. this scientist is watching the millions of fish making their way to the golden gate to spawn. >> you'll see lots of bird activity. marine mammals. everybody is after adult herring or the egg. >> barkley will crisscross the bay from san mateo bridge to richmond san rafael bridge for the state department of fish and wildlife. >> we can dill lynn yat the area and boundaries then estimate how many adult fish they took to
