announcements including a state senator who is taking himself out of the race to succeed the senate pro tempore. the los angeles lawmaker is still in the running for the post and according to the newspaper today, he asked him for endorsement and he declined, though, saying he has to talk to his supporters first. the fbi will review the case of two southern california police officers involved in the death of a homeless man. the officers were acquitted yesterday at a trial in the 2011 deaths with protests held outside the courthouse after the verdict. the f.b.i. has opened an investigation to see if the victims' civil rights were violated. they will now examine the evidence and trial testimony to decide on further action. a new effort is underway to establish legal medical marijuana distribution in san jose. our media partner reports that medical marijuana supporters are
