fire tonight. so far 11 people have been evacuated. one structure has burned and several others are being threatened. this is a marshy island with slews winding through it we've seen a fire boat spraying it but there has been very little response. this is bordered by sacramento and contra costa county. but theys counties tonight say they're not engaging the fire. several people here tell us the island burned in july and it burn out. >> it's burning. >> what is on the island? >> cabins

u.s. supreme court affirmed a major victory for california mobile homeowners protected by rent control. i've been reporting on this case five years focusing on a mobile home park in san rafael

the park owner sued the city claiming rent control law was un-constitutional. the supreme court refused to hear an appeal meaning rent control stands this, is a huge decision. it's expected to protect with similar laws >> marin county "ser storm lost another round. drake's bay oyster company ordersered to close by 2012 by u.s. interior department which hopes to return the property to wilderness. a panel in san francisco refused to block the government's order and today the full court voted not to review that decision. it means the farm's last hope could be u.s. supreme court. the facility continues to operate during appeals process. it's lawyers are contestimony nate mraiting their next move. >> tesla motors issued a recall because of a phone shall fire hazard that does not include
