we have a crew at the game in seattle, where we caught up with 49er fans in enemy territory. a look at how they're representing the red and gold. also, firefighters aren't used to this in january. the fire danger because of our dry conditions. abc7 news starts right now. it is gametime, as the 49ers look for an nfc championship title on their quest for six. win or lose, san francisco is taking steps to keep everybody safe after the game. the fans are pumped and the city is readive things get out of hand after the game. nick smith is in the thick of

that would be the 49ers leading right now. of course, we'll have more in sports. a beg thank you to all of the 49er faithful who took part in our battle of bays, a lot of niners fans showed their pride but seattle get mr. fan -- more fan likes on its facebook beige -- page. >> new at 5:00, firefighters deal with an unusual winter brush fire in the east bay. it started in a large pile of brush, and trees around 10:00 this morning in concord. young see how dry the grass there is because of the lack of rain. crews were able to quickly contain the flames and kept the fire to a quarter of an acre. investigation continues into what caused the fire. fire officials continue to make progress in a wildfire near los angeles. the fire is now about 80%

contained with full containment expected wednesday. the fire which burned three square miles and has destroyed five homes. officials warn that the long dry spell means the danger remains. the fire began thursday in the angeles national forest, 25 miles northeast of downtown los angeles, when santa ana winds hit a campfire that investigators said was recklessly set by three men. developing news now out of oakland. police have blocked off an area to investigate a deadly double shooting. officers responded to reports of gunfire around 2:30 this afternoon. they found two people suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inside this car. police officers found multiple shell casings around the car. emergency medical responders pronounced both shooting victims deed on scene. the search is on tonight for a gunman after man was shot and killed while driving in vallejo. police say 25-year-old michael williams of vallejo was shot

yesterday afternoon in his car near santa clara and capitol streets, not far from city hall. he drove into a parked car and a street sign. a 24 hour festival to help stop the sale of berkeley's downtown post office ended this morning at 11:00. the berkeley post office defenders organized a full day and night of music, petition-signing, and flier distribution, to stop the postal service from selling the branch. the group organized the demonstration to show resistance to the privatization of the usps, and hope to save the integrity of berkeley's historic district. the city council will consider a proposal to save the post office lighter this month. >> cybersecurity experts think they know who is hip a security breach involving millions of credit cards. plus... we'll take you to a special

mt. tamalpais camera. 63 in san francisco. 71 right now in oakland. san jose, 61. north bay, we're looking at temperatures starting to cool down with napa, 64. 63, fairfield. livermore, 61. hearst a -- here's a look at the forecast highlights. tomorrow, we'll continue with passing high clouds overnight and for your holiday tomorrow. a little cooler tuesday and wednesday, and then after that, strong offshore winds will return, and that is definitely going to heighten our fire danger across the bay area. lows tonight, 30s, maybe some upper 20s in the north bay. the rest of us with a few clouds moving here and there. will be in the 40s. 11:00 tonight, you'll notice high clouds from monterey bay up towards san francisco, and by tomorrow we'll look for plenty of sunshine to develop by late in the afternoon and

temperature-wise, still going to be a nice day. want to show you the water vapor imagery. it tells the story. here's the strong ridge. this is the try slot here. here's some of the high clouds that will move in. we're going to watch for by thursday or so, this low here is going actually backtrack down toward the sierra, and that will set up the stage for the dry offshore winds by thursday and friday. they could be strong, advisories could be put in place on the higher elevations thursday and friday, so we'll keep you updated. here's a look at the ten-day outlook. moisture-wise, not a lot out there. you'll notice maybe trace amounts along the north coast, that's about it. here's a look at highs for monday. 70, santa rosa. 64, richmond. 68, fremont. 67, antioch, 69, san jose. may see a few high clouds from time to time. so passing clouds on monday and tuesday.
