>> kristen, they are saying this could be up to 3,000 people at the three crosses church for the funeral. sergeant tom smith was killed last week. the bart police officer was accidentally shot by another bart police officer during the certain of a robbery suspect's apartment. hundreds paid their respects last night at a viewing which was open to the public but there was a private memorial service before the viewing. the officer would shot sergeant smith, sergeantent michael maes is expected to be at the funeral. his brother spoke to abc7 news what their family is going through and he says they are devastated. >> it is something unimaginable. it is tough for him and our family. on behalf of our family we are all very sorry.
