to increase staffing hiring 125 supplemental firefighters many in santa clara and san mateo counties. three bay area counties are to be asked to stop using so water. the san francisco public utilities commission has voted on a call for a 10 circumstances voluntary reduction in water use starting to saturday. last night, the santa clara water district voted unanimously to ask customers to reduce water usage by 10 percent effective immediately. it is not mandatory but it is strongly encouraged to give customers to reduce their water use. marin county says it could order mandatory 25 percent reduction by residents on april 1 if the situation does not improve. >> the bay area has rain coming our way but how much? mike if. >> it will stem the tide for a day. maybe. two at the most. then well add to the drought. the bulk of iris in the sierra which is did news for them and
