those rain clouds? the sierra is seeing snow finally. this is from heavenly mountain resort from lake tahoe tv. the snow is coming down now. there is a lucky skier going up the lift by his lonesome. mike nicco is on the roof to tell us about the rain. >> we talked yesterday that the bulk of the storm would hit the sierra where we fine significant amount of precipitation and expecting a foot or more in the highest ill vacation. at home, it is bright as the moisture plume has faded. you can see it is gone well to the south. it is fading. at least the southern sierra is getting a nice amount of snow. here is the low that will come in, in the afternoon, and overnight bringing us a random sure. if you did not see much rain do not expect much, maybe .

cutting back. >> happening now, hundreds of drivers in georgia are asking, where's my car? drivers are looking for 2,000 abandoned car in and around atlanta. on tuesday, there was massive gridlock because of snow and slick ice and some were trapped in their cars for more than 12 hours. crews need four-wheel drive to take them to their cars and extra gas and a jump start. they will set up a database find where their cars were taken and towed. >> the storm leaving an unusual site like this for beachgoers. this was taken by a drone flying over a beach in north carolina. normally this time of year tourists are headed to the outer bank for the warm weather, not the snow. >> the bad weather elsewhere is creating an unexpected problem for us in the bay area, a

critical blood shortage. normally they get 30 percent of the blood from outside the state but as of yesterday there was only a third amount of the type 0 negative needed to serve the local hosts which is the universal donor type that can be given to anyone in an emergency no matter their blood type. they urge anyone who can give, to donate. >> in the south bay new details in the arrest of an after school counselor accused of selling marijuana to students. a spokesman for the unified school district of san jose says two students have been suspended for buying pot from the counselor. the 20-year-old edward diaz was arrested on tuesday, a counselor with the after school program. police say they questioned diaz when two students told them where they got the marijuana.

the highest level of drought in the san joaquin valley that will go north to the bay area the next week or two. then it will be serious. now, live doppler 7 hd shows the big picture a morning storm into the southern part of the san joaquin valley and the next batch of energy headed to eureka and crescent city slides over us and brings a random sure or two in the afternoon and evening hours. as far as what is going on right now, it is mild with all the sunshine and temperatures are running in the mid-to-upper 50's and even 60 in santa rosa and antioch. this is how it looks outside you can see it is hazy in some areas and use this as the backdrop to talk about sunny spots and seasonally cool with scattered showers through tomorrow morning and a chance near the coast is what is possible on super bowl sunday. the rest of today, we have a couple more degrees.
