officials near carlsbad say the fire did not damage radio active waste there. the federal government is backing off plans to overturn state bans on the sale and possession of shark fins. congressman jared huffman applauded the administration's decision. he put an end to shark finning that is the controversial practice of cutting off a life fin then dumping the shark back into the ocean. noa says it was concerned it would hurt fisherman that kept sharks for meat, not fins >> san francisco leaders calling for an end to violence against women part of a global rise for justice movement held every valentine's day. this is video from the event. according to the united nations one in three women will be raped or beaten in their lifetime. it's a billion women world wide. >> gender violence is occurring

could pick up 1 to 2 inches of rain. winter weather advisory starts in the morning above 4,000 feet running until tomorrow night. this is a cold storm, carry chains expect delays. going into friday night throughout the weekend and weekend storm, mountains expected to pick up 4 to 6 inches in spots throughout sunday night. lower elevations here in the bay area 2 to 4 inches of rain. hard to believe this is what sometimes we can see in february. so it's coming. tomorrow morning mostly 40s not as cold with rain. make sure you have umbrellas. kids need to be dressed. tomorrow afternoon, low to upper 50s. 49 clear lake. they may see a mix of rain and
