there is about one inch of rain here today and a half inch at lexington reservoir. numbers do not makeup for the deficit and pose challenges. >> in and around boulder creek, population 4900 residents count on rain for tap water. normal rainfall is 30 inches. one inch fell in 24 hours. this rain event here goes enough to bring up the flows and san lor yenzo river. fire to it. they were at a low. >> the water shed is home to coho salmon. the drought made river inhospitalable. a management program underway to help restore their habitat. >> coho is almost extra indicated from the river this,

remember, two people were hit in san francisco just yesterday. now this accident, today. >> well, not only do we have to conserve water, now you're being asked to use less energy, too. california power grid calling for conservation because cold cause a shortage of power. a flex alert is in power. authorities say state wide energy conservation will free up electricity and supplies >> a construction worker injured today in san francisco after a crane hit him. it happened just after 8:00 this morning as a man working on the new transit center project. officials say the crane malfunctioned and hit worker, knocking him off a flat form. we're told injuries were not serious but he was taken to the hospital. a caring yes plane power

says he was shocked to learn about the charges now, you mention animal cruelty one charge. police said that when they went to pastor's home they found two girls and a small dog that had been abuseed and later died we're learning tonight he had a close relationship with not only the two girls but their mother. senior pastor told me he ministered to a variety of parishioners. and that he was well respected. wednesday last week, police arrested him at his home after they found a 17-year-old girl and sister. police went to the house at the request of sheriff investigators who said they believed two girls who were run aways from san mateo might be at the home. then this, week the d.a.charged him
