offensive name. >> amma is here with the story. weird. >> yes it really is incredible dan and carolyn. we can all agree junk mail is really annoying but for one bay area resident lisa her junk mail down right insulting. she declined interview today tweeting she had a mystique to maintain so let me take you through what happen. this is the piece of mail that is making its way across social media. addressed to lisa mcintire freelance writer in san francisco but the letter was mailed to her mom's addres address. mom noticed mcintyre middle name had been replaced with offensive phrase. she sent this text to her daughter saying an interesting piece of junk mail had arrived for her. the mean spirited middle name wasn't just on the envelope. but on the letter inside as well. it's an offer for a bank of america credit card for golden key international honor society. armed with pictures of the mean mail mcintyre turned to the internet tweeting

bank of america about the glaring mistake. the bank responded to her tweet saying quote we are incredibly sorry this happened and are researching now to take the appropriate action. we'll follow-up with you asan. golden key also sent lisa a tweet that reads we are so sorry this has occurred. we are investigating and will reach out to you personally soon. according to mcintyre twitter feed she did get a call from the vice president of communication at golden feed and offensive language was added to the account some time between 2004 and 2008 and they are continuing to investigate. mcintyre also tweeted she heard from b of a bank was very apologetic and takes responsibility for what happened. >> here's where the outrage is story gets more interesting. golden key tweeted again saying that the mistake was on their end not on the partner bank of america end. she has been a a valued member of the organization since 2000 but they misspelled her last name

on that statement. >> whole thing is odd. >> very odd. absurd. >> thanks. >> new details tonight on the east bay transgender teen charged with battery following a school fight. jewels gutierrez admits to starting the fight last year captured on cell phone video at hercules high school but she is she act entered self-defense against a bully. more than 2,000,000 people signed petition asking the prosecutor to drop the charges. she has entered a program and if she completes it the charges dropped. >> how did this happen and how can it never happen again? those questions asked tonight by a new task force at san jose state university investigating an alleged hate crime that took place in the fall of last year when african american freshman was targeted by his white roommates. lisa is on the story. >> we must be courageous. we must be honest and we must be bold. >> that's how san jose state special task force on racial discrimination introduced

itself tonight. the 18 members are charged with delving into the on campus hate crime alleges from the fall semester when 4 students suspended pleaded not guilty to hazing and beating an african american dorm mate. >> i think a lot of things fell through the crack in this situation. >> 53 page fact finding report said the university didn't break any of its own policies. bump here wonder how no one investigated after the suspect had a confederate flag in the suite. barricaded the victim in rooms and put a bike lock around his neck. >> clearly was a problem. problem at least in this situation. red flag i think all over the place. >> he is one of us. we are him and l it could have happened to michlt even though the victim never wanted to come forward, this report shows that several students knew all about it but kept quiet. that is until the victim parents saw evidence of hazing during a visit. the
