this is video, surveillance video that came from the cameras at the safeway in oakland. he is african-american man with salt and pepper hair. this was at the safeway in oakland and license plate s customs say though saw him steal lobster and steak and he had a knife. he got into a red car. they also say this was an elderly man and a 13-year-old girl in the car. police are saying he abducted the people but no one has reported the people missing. some police officers say it appears to them it looks like it was possibly the get away car. the amber alert is still in place. we want to ask police about the amber alert and where this child's worried family is? why haven't they come forward?

we have a lot of questions in a press conference that will start any minute the stay with us as we continue to follow this story. thank you, amy. police in the south bay are vetting a deadly stabbing at bar in downtown san jose that started with a fight inside johnny v.'s bar and filled into east santa clara street at 1:15. the victim died on the way to the hospital. officers arrested the suspect and recovered a weapon. both were men were in their 20's. >> a driver is facing vehicular manslaughter and hit-and-run charges after a pedestrian was hit and killed on van ness avenue about 1:00 o'clock when he was first. an undercover officer was trying to help the victim and witnesses pointed owe the driver would got out of the car was walking away from the scene. that driver was arrested. investigator say the pedestrian was not in the crosswalk when he was hit. this is san francisco's fourth

pedestrian death of the year. the third on van ness. >> a criminal grand jury wants to hear from two top commanders in the fire department about a crash that may have involve add drunk firefighter. surveillance video captured the collision when a hook-and-ladder truck responded to a hall and hit a motorcycle in june. the fire truck driver former firefighter michael quinn has resigned from the department. police say he was drunk and left the scene, the "san francisco chronicle" also reported that subpoenas went to at least two dozen firefighters. the prosecution want to ask them what happened that night. >> workers from a refinery in martinez are recovering from burns after an accident. there was some sort of acid leak before 3:00 this morning. the men were air lifted to uc davis medical center. the leak is being investigated. >> clean up in richmond in a

hazardous material spill. early this morning a flatbed truck was making a turn when it hit a parked double tanker truck that was carrying diesel fuel that spilled. some leaked into the storm drain. right now the eastbound 580 off-ramp is still closed and the on-ramp is open. also shut down until noon from second to harper and hoffman to harder. >> antioch police arrested three people after stolen car smashed into three other vehicles. it happened at davison drive this morning. the officers say the driver refused to stop. the three people from the stolen car tried to run away. a police dog bit one. one of the drives hit bit stolen car had to go to the hospital. >> we have our annual bad news of the rice of gasoline. it could rise by 50 cent a gallon in the next few weeks and blamed on a number of reasons.

abc7 news reporter cornell bernard has more from downtown san jose. cornell? >> this is not good news for commuters. the average for gas is $3.65 but in the bay of course we are paying more than that. the rice is about to go up. some drivers say "enough is enough." >> it is a fact of life in california the weather will get warmer by spring time and gas prices will get higher. >> ever is going up. all the prices. gas going up... >> neither experts say while frigid weather in the east and reduced driving have kept prices stable in the united states, 50 cent spike is coming to california drivers. the polices are tightening and the conversion to a summer blend of gas begins. >> this time of year plants are expected to run full tim to keep up with the demand so the

name. no one who enjoys roy mccainy, please call the police department. here is the surveillance video of him at the safeway. he frequents the area. this is the safeway off of highway 13. police want to know where he is, and who he is. they are calling him a "person of interest" right now but not killing roy a suspect but they do want to talk to him. they are offering a reward in the case. they have $10,000ry ward if any information that lead those an arrest in this case. here is what happened. ones say they saw a man in the safeway stealing steaks and lobster. then he got in a car, carjacked it and drove away and had two people inside it, a 13-year-old or about a 13-year-old girl and an elderly man they say that amber alert for the girl, child, is still in place and it is active. they are looking for this car with this license plate:

covering san rafael, south bay, pleasanton and all the bay area this is abc7 news. >> the fast food giant known for fried chicken sandwiches has a new commitment: meat without antibiotics at chick-fil-a. they want to make sure there is enough chicken for the 1,600 restaurants. they acknowledge they are making the switch because of consumer demand. chipolte and panera have already made the commitments. taco bell is rolling out mobile ordering and testing a mobile app at five locations in southern california where you can customize your taco order and pay using a phone. a g.p.s. location can tell the kitchen if you are close and when to start cooking so the tacos are hot. experts say this is the biggest anyone in fast food since the
