name is roy. >> police say this is the man they want to find a person of interest in a shop lift that turned into a possible car jack and kidnap on redwood road. 54-year-old roy mckamey. >> we had numerous reports this individual frequents the area, he's known to the area. he also is very similar to the suspect description. >> police say they are familiar with the suspect and he does have a criminal history including theft. tuesday this, surveillance video from the safeway shows the man police say is the suspect walking up and down seafood and meat department aisle he later got into an altercation with employees and ran out. >> then, when the suspect left the store, he approached the vehicle where the driver of the vehicle indicated that he did not know the suspect. that is what escalated this particular

case, knowing there is a young girl in the car as well as the driver. >> that car is described as a red sedan with california license plates. crime stoppers is now offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to arrest of a suspect. in oakland abc7 news. >> in san jose, police arrested a man for an early morning deadly stabbing in a downtown bar that started with a fight inside of johnny v's bar and spilled into the street this morning. the owner says the victim was a bouncer off duty at the time he said women were complaining a customer was acting inappropriately. bouncer asked him to leave. the customer stabbing him outside. >> santa clara county deputies say tips from the public led to an arrest of a man they say sexual assaulted a woman. you can see the stretch on the left and mug shot on the right.

with the latest developments. laura? >> reporter: this just minutes ago, patrol cancelled the amber alert, they do not believe there was a kidnapping or car jacking nor do they think a young girl was insolved now this has to do with a shop lift. surveillance video we can show you yesterday afternoon inside of the safeway. this is a man was trying to apparently shop lift some lobster and steak and he brandished a knife or showed a knife to folks then ran outside. and witnesses thought a car jacking and a kidnapping of two people inside of a vehicle. now, it turns out that vehicle didn't have plates it was supposed to have on it the mystery plot thickens those folks thought a 13-year-old was in the car and an older jachlt now we find out

all three of the people knew each other and the 13-year-old girl was an adult they have located the driver of the vehicle, one of the suppose victims told police they know each other and police are still looking for the girl who they say is an adult and the person of interest, i believe we have his picture as well. this is roy mckamey, he is known in the area, he is the suspected shoplifter, police tell me they're looking for him but importantly, at this point no kidnapping. no car jack and no more amber alerts. >> thank you. >> the ice storm hitting several southeastern states being called one for history books >> with 350,000 homes and businesses, without power check out what it looked like in raleigh, north carolina. massive traffic jam here, bumper to bumper traffic and people forced
