sir joe quintana who is live. >> we have been watching the san francisco medical examiner's van. you can see it there pulling away. they just collected the body of the person who as hit by the train. police say he was hit by an out outbound muni train. moments after this happened at 3:00 this afternoon, we were able to talk with a few people who say they knew the man who was killed. they say he is homeless and stored his backpack under the back peak. multipeople said the man was trying to get to his backpack and was hit by a light rail train. police say paramedics arrived but he was pronounced dead at the escape. this has created a whole lot of confusing situations for muni riders-especially since market is really congest evidence right now with chinese new year parade has already started. muni light rail cars have been not running between montgomery

manager. his store is one of having possibly received beef targeted in a meat recall. >> our customers are asking, why, why? >> the valley market does not carry beef from rancho but has purchased customers from from -- >> the rancho feeding corporations recalling more than 8.7 million-pounds of beef product. that's meat from more than 11,000 head of cattle. the usda has not said what the alleged rancho and its employees did, leaving kevin with very few answers. >> they tell us, this is the whole issue. this is why we recalling it, it would be nice. put is on the list, bring it back. very frustrating. >> the largest market was listed because of one special order of ox tails bay customer. an order randy ericson says was purchased months ago. >> we contacted the customer. she was very cooperative, and

she -- the company contacted her and they dealt with it. it was out of hands. >> rancho says all the bad buys out of stores but randy and kevin continue to get phone calls from customers concern about what they're putting on their table. nick smith, abc7 news. >> california game warden is recovering after being shot during a compliance check. 35-year-old bob paris suffered serious witness non-life-threatening injuries. he was observing two hunters last night in el dorado county when one of them opened fire. >> when wardens macon tact with hunter, often times they'll observe them for a certain period of time. it was during that time a shot was fired. it was complicated just to get help to him. he had to give almost step-by-step directions how to get through some of these dirt roads. >> the hunters helped the veteran until happen arrived.

officials are trying to figure out if the shooting was accidental. >> two people were unarmed when a fire broke out in an attic space in san francisco. firefighters were called to a three-store home about 9:30 a.m. they quickly determined the smoky fire was accidental but are trying to pinpoint the exact cause. damage is minimal and everyone is safe. a group of people focused on raising oakland's minimum wage gathered signatures toy to put the issue on the ballot. the lift up oakland coalition pounded the pavement at the b.a.r.t. station today at fruit veil. they explained the $8 minimum wage just doesn't gut it. >> it's just not enough for working families to survive on. they can't make ends meet and can't put food on the table or clothes on our kids back, so 12.25 is a good start so

mobile nome redding packed with explosives could be incinerated as soon as tomorrow. sheriff's department officials now doubled the evacuation area around the home to 2,000 feet. evacuations began nine days ago and residents want to get back home. >> they're hoping it will be here when we -- if we get to come back.

hackers have breached security for kick starter.com and stole personal data. the ceo announced the information was taken last week. the data included addresses, phone numbers, e-mails and encrypt passwords, security responded and was able to keep credit card information safe and promises to make security changes but warns users they should change their passwords. google wants to make the internet a thousand times faster than the average speed currently in the u.s. the company is working on a 10 giga bit speed. to make it happen google will have to install fiber cables around the u.s., costing $11 billion to complete. google would like to start the project in three years. >> the rain is moving through the bay area tonight.

leigh glaser is live on top of the roof to tell us how long it will stick around. >> hi there, everyone. just a few light sprinkles now downtown san francisco. we're picking up heavier rain, live doppler 7hd right now showing some moderate rain along the sonoma coastline. you can see the orange and the yellow moving through -- it was moving towards lucas valley area, novato, and from there to black point and sears point so keep that in mind. we're picking up returns near san rafael, and light returns towards sunnyvale as well as san jose. most of what is falling is above the 8,000-foot level. that's the snow. below that, blue canyon, rain and i have to tell you, the snow levels will remain quite high

the next several days. so overnight the snow levels above 8,000 feet. this is my view from the roof cam looking down on the embarcadero in san francisco. it was mild and muggy today. san francisco, 57. 60, san jose, los gatos, 59. looking over the bay you can see the clouds thickening up there. napa 55. 58 in concord. here's what you can expect, our forecast. rain from the north bay to the south bay overnight. this system is a fast mover. get rade for clearing tomorrow afternoon and dry for the holiday. presidents day on monday. our pacific satellite shows you the cold front barreling in close to the bay area, and this is what is going to move in overnight. most of the heaviest rain will be in the north bay and then it will slide south. here's a look at the timing. 6:00 tonight, heavier cells along the north coast, and then by 9:00, points east, showers,
