man. he did die on scene. officers are skill -- still gathering information. >> good evening, and thank you for joining us. now to california's drought. the city council approved a plan to use treated sewage water for farms and vineyardsment some don't like the idea. nick smith is live in the heart of sonoma county's wine country with the story. reporter: sonoma county is known for its wine, and its winemaking. that's why politics and wine makers, staring in the face of a drought, are doing all they can to protect their crops. >> we got all the rain, still don't have enough water to get through the growing season. >> doug grew up in sonoma county, and has worked, owned, and operated ranch.

>> we're in the middle of the worst drought. >> dry conditions and a lack of rain present an urgent problem, putting every acre of his vineyard and the dozens in the county like it, at riecks. he thinks there's a solution. >> they have wastewater they need to put into an irrigation system, and the farmers can satisfy that. >> the city of hillsberg decided to provide treated recycled wastewater for use by ranchers and grape growers. it will be given to them for free. water that the mayor says is safe for a farming and other not affect the taste of their crop. >> we have really highly treated, disinfected water. >> the mayor is one of the strongest supporter of the plan, a plan that has proven to be successful in areas around hillsberg. >> we don't have in california a comprehensive groundwater policy. that's something we indiana to work on and there needs to be

scene. we don't have a valid description at this time. >> the victims, who know one another, have been hospitalized and expected to leave. the suspect left in a four-door tan sedan. >> an apartment fire has displaced 15 people in san jose. it started just after 3:00 this morning at an apartment complex on tucson drive. flames damaged two units. 15 people from all of the apartments had to leave because crews had to turn off power and gas service. oakland police know the gender of a burned body found last night. officers found the body of a woman still burning on skyline boulevard near the gate of regional park. a resident believes the park's location may have played a part the crime. >> it's because this area is remote and probably the people that were disposing of the body were looking for someplace that

nobody is going to pay attention when they were doing it, which they might elsewhere in the area. >> because of the condition of the burned body the identity of the victim may not be known for months. the al media county coroner's office has not released a cause of death. >> man who tied in a motorcycle crash is a well-known business own ex-josh eppel and his brother are owners of drew's meats. he died yesterday morning after losing control of his motorcycle and falling from an elevated portion of highway 101. he took over drew's meats in 1998. the business started 125 years ago, is thought to be the oldest operating butcher shop in california. the man struck and killed by a muni train has been identified as 55-year-old michael mendez. it happened yesterday afternoon at the powell station.
