kristen and matt? >> breaking news. we have word in the newsroom from the c.h.p. that an off-duty firefighter has died in unincorporated contra costa built. the firefighter's identity is not released. he was working on a bobcat tractor. we are working the story with updates in the newscast and on twitter. two bart passengers in the east bay could be on edge after a derailment had crews working through the weekend. trains began running yesterday after repairs over the weekend after an empty train jumped the tracks on friday evening. one passenger who took the train yesterday said they made a slower than usual run through the track. >> we let everyone know on the train it would be slower, we apologize, but it was an uneasy

feeling. >> bart says they still have to repair the switch where the derailment took place. the cause is "under investigation." >> one is dead and another seriously injured after a drag race in fairfield yesterday at 5:15 along connian hills drive. the drivers of a blue inanity and white toyota truck were racing and the infinity hit a third car. the innocent driver of the third car dried. the driver of the infinity has life threatening injuries. they are looking for the driver of the white truck. the family of a man shot to delegate by alameda sheriff deputies say they plan to sue the department. the 61-year-old from san lorenzo was killed in his home in a confrontation after deputies say he assaulted a paramedic trying to take him away. they shot and killed him after

saluting him. >> officers say an off-duty firefighter was driving his tractor doing hillside griding work last night and he may have gotten too close to the edge, the tractor flipped, and fell 150'. crewed has to take a helicopter to get to him. the c.h.p. is investigating this but at this time they say it appears it was a tragic accident. developing news from fremont, amtrak trains will roll again this morning after an citizen closed the tracks all night. it happened around 10:00 last night a short distance from the fremont station. we just got off the phone with fremont police and they say the driver of a toyota went around the downed arm at the crossing and was hit bit train. two men both if their 20's were taken to the hospital.

the 15,000 seat arena on the campus of fresno is where the memorial will happen. the two died when the car crash ed in fresno on monday while headed to the scene of a traffic accident. it is believed they swerved to avoid hitting a person involved in the crash they were responding to. golden gate bridge officials will reveal their recommendations for toll hikes after months of consideration. they have been looking into four different options to deal with the $142 million deficit. officials are planning a built in incremental toll increase, including one dollar increase in april and more hikes until fast track tolls hit $7 and non-fast track tolls hit $8 in 2008. right now, fast track drivers pay $5 to cross. >> dalai lama will wrap up the visit today with a talk at santa clara university at 10:00. he honored local unsung heroes of compassionate an award
