loving it. the clouds have not given way to a lot rain or snow. that is coming. >> good morning, thanks for joining us. from the bay area to the sierra, we have you covered with complete storm watch coverage. reporters are on the scene of a tree that fell on a major road and the area that flooded in marin county last month. first, though, mike nicco is tracking the storm outside the studios. mike? >> good morning, it has been wet. it has been steady rain. you are right, not measuring up to lot yet but i am feeling the breezes. up to .09" in santa rosa, the least amount. in san jose, .17" in rain so the rain has been the most at conquer at .75" and here is

where the heavier radar runs are now: pulling from walnut creek and concord at 680 to martinez to benicia and vallejo. you have some more now moving through san francisco and look what coming our way, this area of low pressure will have the instability for the stronger afternoon and evening storms and below the storms, that is lightning we are tracking. the stronger storms are over the ocean and will be here soon in the seven-day forecast. san francisco emergency crews rescued a woman who fell 10 to 20 feet by the cliff house. these are pictures of the rescue a short time ago. in word on how she ended up falling down the cliff. crews say it does not appear she was critically injured. >> folks are hooking forward to a healthy rainfall to ease the drought even those who businesses flooded last storm

a few weeks ago dug the last storm. this morning he is watching the weather reports and studying the tide charts. i am studying tidal charts because of where we are located. >> when the tide is high the rains are heavy and the creek swells and miller act floods. it does not all happen. he hopes he will be lucky. >> i could be in my waders tonight preparing if the worst but now i am open for business and pluggin' along waiting to see what mother nature throws at us. >> a city spokesman says they are ready. they had a meeting on monday to talk about clearing storm drains and looking for blockages and ordered 4,000 sandbags. they are watching. they will watch tomorrow morning the next high tide around 9:30. if it rains all night and the high tide comes in they are worried the water will have

independence -- nowhere to go. 100 people in the south bay are still without electricity this morning and in part because of a tree that toppled, knocking down power lines in a los altos neighborhood. now to the scene. david? >> kristen you can see and hear this are tree service crews busy working here in los altos because of a tree that fell right into this street. the tree or was a 40' high pine right at the intersection at mills avenue. the tree leaned out over the street and as it fell damage was limited to a fence with no one shut there was no damage to any homes. utility lines ran through the crown of the street and they were snagged. a firefighter said there were no reports of high winds when this happened and the area now is without power, cable, and internet service. >> this just got wet and heavy and fell over. >> how does it affect your

telephone and power? >> there was a surge and the power was back on but they shut it off. we are headed to the local shopping center to see if we and get online and do some work. >> both neighbors and a firefighter noticed decay at the base of the trunk and whether that contributed to the tree falling and the rain is still under investigation. the tree service is going to be busy would being on getting the tree cleared from the street and some city crews are going to chip away at it and pg&e crews are standing by ready to restore service along with the cable and internet services, as well, and they estimate that 130 people are without power at the time. >> we are on storm watch in los altos, for abc7news.com. >> there are 2,300 customers without power right now, including santa rosa is hardest hit with 2,700. pg&e is working to restore power with in word on when that will happen. bay area airports are being impacted by the storm.

line of duty exactly a year ago today. the memorial garden was dedicated to sergeant butch baker and detective elizabeth butter. the ceremony is still going on now. the past half hour, the chief of police who is speaking now, spoke and other spiritual community leaders. they gave remarks on what has taken place since the tragic day saying it has been a long road. sergeant baker and detective butler were shot and killed during an investigation of on you'll assault february 26, 2013. the suspect was slot and killed by police later in the day. an hour ago we watched as detective butler's long time partner and their two young children brought flowers to the memorial and they unveiled the plaques. both say we will miss you forever and we will never forget. deputy chief clark said this garden is for everyone. >> we are hoping that this garden is just a place for the entire community to remember the sacrifice and, hopefully, to reflect on who we want to be and what will the personality of

in the east bay develop we are seeing a tapering with the better radar runs moving through to richmond and san pablo. watch out. 80 and 580 could be wet. more so, over the next, say, 15 or 20 minutes. look where the best radar returns are from muir beach to sea ranch and this will climb over the hills and dump into we we in the next half hour to 45 minutes so there is uponning on the roads possible there. >> now we will show you what is going on with the lightning, thunderstorms with the next batch, the heavier batch moving in at 220 miles per hour away and moving at 35 miles per hour so it will hit during the evening rush so it will be much tougher. winds are sustained and we are from 13 miles per hour at napa and 13 in san jose, as well. that is half of what they are going to be as we head through
