we begin with that breaking news. a manhunt is underokay after an officer was shot and injured in san francisco. take a look. we have sky 7hd over the scene right now. this is at florida and 25th 25th street. you can see the officers there and the evidence marker there as well. information is still coming in. we have several live crews on the story. what we know right now is the officer is in stable condition. good evening, i'm ama daetz. abc7 news reporter nick smith is live. an intense investigation is underway there now. reporter: absolutely.

i just want to repeat something you just said because it's important for everyone to know that the officer will be fine. the chief with the san francisco police department is at san francisco general right now. we have crews at general and a crew on scene and a crew in daly city. first, i want you to look over my shoulder. we have more than two dozen officers on the scene here on florida street. this where is our shooting happened. in the 1300 block of florida street. it started with a traffic stop. sometime just before 3:00 this afternoon, shots were fired and at least one officer was hit. we understand he was struck in his arm. it was a needless to say nonfatal injury. that immediately started a pursuit. but when we arrived on the scene we had an opportunity to speak to witnesses who heard the shots. >> we were in the house, heard probably five or six shots. some of my friends and i said, and i went on the scanner, heard

there's a police chase and then we heard a cop had been shot. >> right now you're looking at sky 7ht video in daly city. sky 7ht was eve the scene as multiple officers from the daly city police department had their weapons drawn. you can also see the suspect vehicle. that is the car that the suspect was driving. that is the suspect who shot that officer. we understand that there's still a search for the suspect. back here live. you can see that evidence markers are on the street. this is in the 1300 block of florida. we all -- the suspect possibly lived in the 1300 block of florida street where everything began. right now, once again, the public information officer with the san francisco police department is updating our crew at san francisco general. i'll get that information and have more on both twitter and
