4th street is shut down until further notice and that is because of the massive fire we experienced a couple of days ago. you can see traffic is moving through and a little build up of congestion on 280 extension northbound but all in all at top speeds. in san jose, 280 away from 17 is quiet. no cars southbound. a final vote is expected in the senate today on a bill that requires child care providers who receive federal support to have back grand checks. roughly 500,000 centers and home base providers get federal subsidies to occur for an estimated 1.5 million children. they will be required to have tighter screening and meet a range of safety standards including first aid, cpr and prevention of child abuse.
