since yesterday. police want to question him about the murder of his wife. the two daughters, ages 14 and 8 are safe in protective custody tonight. >> this is the man sheriff's deputies want to talk to. 46-year-old fong me is considered a person of interest in the shooting death of his wife, 46-year-old young gi chang. she was found debt inside of the couple's castro valley home. >> we don't know if he was home yesterday and we have not spoke to him, but all of the information and the evidence at the house does point to him and it being suspicious. >> reporter: neighbors report hearing gunshot at about 1:00 p.m. on friday and two hours later sheriff's deputies arrived at the house after the couple's teen-ager daughter discovered her mother's body when she came home from school. >> i said to myself, it sounded like a gun but i didn't pay attention to it. it was just one gang. just one. >> i'm in shock. it is crazy.

>> cynthia was renting a downstairs apartment from the couple. police say there has been a history of domestic violence at the home but cynthia never heard or saw anything unusual. >> he set up my cable and whenever i had an issue, i would shoot him an e-mail and he would take care of it. >> this man coached his daughters in pool. >> they are always around. supportive parents. not super energetic, but their presence was there. >> fong me may be driving the silver toyota rav4 with dealer plates from dublin toyota. he is considered armed and dangerous. in castro county, abc 7 news. an amber alert in effect right now. police are searching for a southern california couple who kidnapped their four children from protective custody. the chp said they kidnapped

their two sons and daughters from their maternal grandmother after allegations were made against the parent. they to be driving a dark colored pt cruiser with paper license plates and is missing a right here hubcap and has tinted windows. new information tonight in the missing malaysian jetliner, shedding some fresh light on the movement. 14 countries are involved in the search for the flight that disappeared over a week ago with 239 people on board. the prime minister set the plane was deliberately diverted and the last signal was later than the time given. police visited the home of the pilot and co-pilot. david curly has the story from washington. >> reporter: is it was no accident, say the malaysians. the first time the government is

saying the way ward flight 370 did not stray by chance. >> this movement is consistent with the deliberate action by someone on the plane. >> reporter: abc news has learned that u.s. authorities now seventy one or both -- suspect one or both pilots. the airliner had statistical tactical aviation maneuvers and kept passengers from making outside contact. whatever was at the controls, knew what he was doing. >> they took it up to 45,000 feet with the intent of killing the passengers. >> two indicator systems have been deliberately shut off and then the jet did head back across malaysia before missing off of radar. but now we know from a signal that the jet changed course again, either north or south.

meteorologist lee. >> hi there, amma. it looks like the bay area seeing sunshine. we did have fog near the coast and we'll look at live doppler 7 hd. and you see the fog is banking up near the cost. even half moon bay reporting temperatures only in the 50s but check out the current highs. remember this is the last full weekend of winter. spring arrives next week and we are looking at 80 degrees in antioch and concord. 71 in san francisco. where that fog sits, 59 in half moon bay and all locations except for half moon bay up by as much as 10 degrees today with sfo up by 8 degrees. we'll take a look ahead and check out what you can expect tomorrow and the first of next week coming up. >> thank you, so much. caught on video and on the loose, thieves made off with a gas station atm in sonoma count. it happened around 3:45 this morning at the 76 station in

shellville. owners son said he heard the alarm going off so he logged into the surveillance video feed and he saw how the men were able to get into the store and rip the machine from the concrete bolts. >> ran in and chopped up an atm and it was all a matter of minutes for the whole thing. one second they got it taught, they roped it and ripped it and had struggle maneuvering it out of the door because it was at an angle, threw it in the back of the van and were off. >> the sonoma county sheriff's office said the suspects were driving a white commercial van with lettering on the side. if you have information about the theft, give the sheriff's office a call. the bay area r is not known for a bastion of republicans and that is why they might be here today. how the gop wants to rebuild the state. and saint patrick's day might not be

. san francisco kicked off the st. patrick's day celebrations with the annual parade it. began at 2nd and marcus street making its way to civil center plaza. this is the 163rd year of the parade and this year it is a tribute to the irish workers of america. the event is one of the largest parades in the state and the international business times ranks it the 7th largest st. patrick's day parade in the nation. oakland's jack lind square is in the midst of a major makeover. the bay area news group reports

construction is underway at the former barnes and noble bookstore. the space is about the size of a city block and developers are transforming it into a beer garden, pub, bowling lane and batchy courts and entertainment slated to open by late summer or early fall. republicans to to california to share their future of california. and a battle between baseball fans and soccer fans in the east bay. possible solutions to this field fight. and it feels like summer out

comedian and tonight show favorite david brenner has died. his publicist said he died this afternoon at his home in new york city. the cause of death has not been released. he made more than 150 appearances as a guest and host on johnny carson's tonight show starting in the 1970s. this is you tube video of one of his performances. he briefly hosted his own syndicated talk show in 1987. he continued to do standup. brenner was 70 years old. the california republican party is holding the spring convention in burlingame. the speaker was former secretary of state speaker condoleezza rice. she said california needs to be rebuilt. >> around these principles of

sitting out because he didn't have the grade point average and it was important enough to him that he earn that. >> oakland international is interested in a dual-purpose facility. another option discussed was building a soccer field at another site. the school district will soon discuss the issue. quite a warm one out there today. let's get to lee glaser for a check on our forecast. >> this being the last saturday in the season of winter and of course temperatures in the 80s around here. live doppler 7 hd right now picking up the clear skies inland but some of the low clouds right near the coast from point rays all the way down toward half moon bay kept temperatures in the 50s. and it is starting to pull away from half moon bay. they popped up 5 degrees in the last 15 or 20 minutes. can you see a little bit of sunshine there. but elsewhere we are seeing a lot of clear sky. here is a terrific shot from our sister cam. you can see the fog pushing in

toward the golden gate right here but temperatures are nice for this time of year. 67 in san francisco. san jose at 78. we have 82 in los gatos. half moon bay in the low 60s from our tam can. and clear sky over the bay. santa rosa 89. livermore 79. and here is a look toward the bay bridge. our forecast highlights, clear tonight. you just saw the low clouds and fog near the coast and we'll keep them there overnight tonight. record highs possible on sunday as temperatures warm up a few more degrees and spring arrives as we head into next thursday. here is a look at our radar satellite composite, high pressure bringing us very nice conditions. it will bring more warming as we get into a slight off shore wind component tomorrow. but a cold front well off the coast, it won't visit us. it will cool us down on monday but it will bring us large swells tomorrow. so a beach hazard and advisory,

high surf advisory posted from sunday at noon until monday morning at 8 a.m. with the westerly swells picking up to 14 feet and braerks up to 18 feet and also sneaker waves. keep in mind the waves now sitting at about 8 feet but they are building overnight and definitely tomorrow. here is a look if you are going to be in livermore the next three to five days. 83 expected high tomorrow. we'll take a little dip as the cold front gets close on monday and temperatures come down to 69 degrees and then temperatures warm back up into the 70s. so still above normal for this time of year. and for those of you in oakland, tomorrow terrific day. with temperatures there 76. a little dip on monday, 67 and then we'll top off at 70 degrees. overnight temperatures tonight, upper 40s to near 50 degrees. and here is a look at your highs for your sunday. enjoy as we get close to 80 degrees across many locations. san jose 80.

well the warriors will drive you crazy with the inconsistency, they beat miami and indiana in their house but turn around and lose to cleveland at oracle. they play up to the competition or down. whoever is wearing the opposing jersey that night. you can't lose to cleveland this time of year. they have won only 26 times, the same amount of losses for golden state. they had a lead and then lose back to back games. today in video provided by the warriors, stefan curry who turned 26 yesterday, explained it all. >> we don't want to turn one bad loss into two losses. we are enjoying a good year.
