castro valley. her body was discovered at a home on stanton avenue yesterday afternoon. we have details on the search for the husband. cornell. >> reporter: police are look for fong mi. the couple's two daughters ages 14 and 8 are safe in protective custody tonight. >> investigators are considering him to be armed and dangerous. >> reporter: this is the man sheriff deputies want to talk to. he's considered a person of interest in the shooting death of his wife. her body was discovered inside the couple's home on friday. >> we have not been able to speak to him. we don't know if he was home yesterday. all the information we found and the evidence does point to him and it being suspicious. >> i said to myself it sounded like a gun.

i didn't pay any attention to it. it was just one bang. just bang. >> reporter: neighbors heard that shot about 1:00 p.m. friday. hours later sheriff deputies arrived at the home after the victim's teenage daughter discovered her mother's body. >> in shock. it's crazy. >> reporter: police say there was a history of domestic violence at this home but she says she never heard or saw anything strange. >> they were both really nice. she knowed me the apartment when i first moved in july. >> parents nice, quiet. >> reporter: mark coached the couple's two daughters on the local swim team. >> we're real concerned about what's going to happen to the kids now. >> reporter: he may be driving the family's 2014 silver toyota rav 4. it has paper dealer plates.

chp are asking for help finding four children. they were kidnapped by their parents. they took them out of protective custody yesterday. they haven't been seen since. the father is reported to be typically violent with the mother. suspects were last seen driving a dark colored chrysler pt cruiser with paper license plate, a missing right rear hub a cap and tinted windows. a driver was injured when this car rolled over into a park truck. it happened at an industrial area. the driver was trapped inside. police have just begun their investigation. investigators looking into the disappearance of malaysia airport flight 370 are investigating the crew and passengers to try to figure out who took control of the plane. the homes of the two pilots were raided by police for any potential clues. this after malaysia's prime minister revealed overnight that

investigators concluded whatever happened was not an accident. he called the deactivate of plane's communication system deliberate acts. they suspect one or both of the pilots may have been involved because the airplane executed sophisticated aviation maneuvers to evade radar. >> they took it up to 45,000 feet. >> the search is two new area where is the plane may have landed or crashed. russian troops have taken control of the village beyond the crimea border tonight. the incident is raising tensions on the eve of a referendum on whether crimea should split from the ukraine and join russia.

not everyone in russia is supporting the move. tens of thousands gathered in downtown moscow in the largest antigovernment protest since 2012. they carried banners with messages against war. bay area community is raising money for the 100,000 people affected by a deadly volcano eruption. at least 14 people were killed. another 100,000 evacuated. six weeks later the recovery is far from over. abc 7 news reporter joins us live from daily city with a look at the fund-raiser. >> reporter: there's really a very long wait to go. that's why about 50 people have gathered here. indonesia has been hit hard by disaster after disaster.

tens of thousands of people were devastated. they were trying to recover their homes. this fund-raiser will help those affected by a flood in the area and a wildfire burned a large section of the town. >> people still remember even a month ago. for me, for the rest of the indonesian group they help. whatever they need. >> reporter: the goal is to raise $2,000. money is already coming in, as you can see. this will go a very, very long way in indonesia. the money will be sent directly to a relative in the affected region who will be necessities for the people and divy up the

money as he sees fit. . daifrd brenvid brener had b fighting cancer for the past few years. he died this afternoon at his home in new york city. a popular san francisco burger place that's been favorite for generations is about to close for good. joe's cable car opened 49 years ago in 1965. tomorrow it will serve its last meal. the restaurant's name sake has been there all along grinding top drawer chuck steak into eight ounce patties. he says long time customers who have grown up visiting his restaurants are coming back for one last meal. >> you're breaking my heart.

remove it. residents in san diego from a rattlesnake problem on their han hands. people have been flooding the agency with reports of rattlesnakes spotted on trails and in backyards. since the start of the year they have gotten 80, that's triple the amount of last year, a warm winter is to blame. they are coming out of hibernation thinking spring has arrived. >> we had a mild winter this year. as it gets warmer, the snakes will be more active. >> there are warning signs at parks and trails telling visitors to keep an eye out for snakes. up next, putting more than money where your mouth is. why hundreds of people donated to support kids with cancer. today's high temperatures could go up even more tomorrow. meteorologist lee glasser is up next with the forecast. college basketball winding down their tournament schedule before the big dance. ucla knocks off arizona in

kids. nearly 200 had their heads shaved bald at the fund-raiser at children's hospital oakland. the goal was to raise $250,000 to support the foundation childhood cancer research program. oakland raiders wide receiver had the honor of serving as this year's celebrity barber. >> it's something special to me always giving back to the children's hospital and doing things like that. giving to the oakland community is always a good thing. >> at last check the fund-raiser was well on its way of meeting its goal of $250,000. it will feel a bit cooler for all those people because it's definitely warm outside. we have the weather forecast. >> tomorrow is oakland half marathon. any of those folks that got the buzz cut, they'll will styling tomorrow as they're running. it is going to be much warmer tomorrow. today was terrific. low clouds and fog set right near the coast. that's why temperatures on the

your sunday afternoon and remember this is the last full weekend of winter as spring arrives on thursday. here is a look at our radar satellite composite. you can see high pressure still in control. we'll have another warm day tomorrow. we'll go up three maybe five degrees. record highs in the low 80s. we may get very close to that by tomorrow afternoon. as we get closer late in the day tomorrow this cold front most of the energy will stay to the north of us, but the tail end of this will generate some large swells tomorrow. that has prompted a high surf advisory in effect from noon tomorrow until 8:00 a.m. on monday with westerly swells up to 14 feet. breakers up to 18 feet. keep that in mind if you're out and about tomorrow. the beach will be the place to be but be very, very careful. let's look ahead to warming. by monday we'll drop
