willow pass road re-opened after a previous was killed by a hit-and-run driver. investigators opened the road in the past 15 minutes. it was shut don't define 5th and 6th after a woman was killed. miss say she was walking on the sidewalk around midnight and the driver drove on the curb and hit her. she died at the scene. police are now working to identify the vehicle possibly a two-tone pickup that live scene. here is a look at the section of willow pass road that re-opened. nick will have a report in a half hour. >> firefighters discovered dozens of marijuana plants inside a home in san jose overnight, but that is not what kept them from going inside. matt keller is in the newsroom with more on this. matt? >> the problem was the electric am service was bypassed to help with the marijuana "grow" operation putting firefighters at risk of electrocution so

concord. that accident happened a few yards up from where i am standing now and we know the woman was walking up the sidewalk when a car came down eastbound willow pass and it came down, went on the sidewalk and struck her there. investigators have wrapped up but this is some of the video we shot. the collision happened at willow pass road near 6th street. evidence markers were lined up and down the street and a scanner took pictures to provide a snapshot of how the crash may have happened. police identified the victim. an adult female. they are refusing to share more pending notification of family. witnesses say that she was height while walking westbound on the sidewalk. the vehicle was driving eastbound. it is possible she caught driver and did not have time to move. already police confirm that the material gathered at the seen paint a pick of who may have

been driving the vehicle. >> the investigation revealed the victim was struck and killed by a vehicle that friday the scene. we have witnesses. the description of the suspect vehicle is vague. it is only described as a pickup truck, possibly two tone. >> investigators are working to identify the make and model of the truck that struck and killed her. police hope that surveillance video they have collected from neighboring homes and businesses will help to positively identify the vehicle and help nail the driver. willow pass road is open. they were determined to get it open in time for the morning commute. we are still organizing to figure out the make and model of the vehicle to put that information out to the public and identify the driver. thank you. police are looking for a driver who hit an elderlily plan and

sped away leave him with serious injuries. it happened at 8:30 last night on south park victoria drive and canton drive. the victim is described as a man between 75 and 80. he was taken to the hospital. the suspect vehicle is described as gold chevrolet chevrolet pickup. >> a combination of drunk driving and distracted driving is the cause of a crash that killed a music teacher and her mother-in-law. the william died instantly after a truck rear helped their cars. she taught music in the union school district and c.h.p. officers say the suspected drunk drive told them he was look at a text message moments before the collision. >> the united states and the european union will likely punish russia with economic sanctions today with tension escalating after 97 percent of voters in crimea supported
