rolled through in mountain view pat of the bottleneck that is clearing because of a power outage at the center that took place in san jose at 8:25 this morning. caltrain officials say the system did switch to an emergency generator but the computerized dispatching system did not come back online stopping the trains for an hour. people were waiting on crowded platforms hoping for a train. >> the heads up on my phone so i am bummed i didn't plan for it earlier. >> the dispatching system was back up and running at 9:20. all trains are making local stops in an effort to clear out the delays. no express trains. one of the capital corridor trains was delayed 45 minutes this morning but no other delays are expected today. why the electricity? why did it go out? pg&e is blaming a squirrel coming in contact with the power line knocking out power to 1,100 customers. the center is located in that

same area. here is go news: caltrain says they expect to restore service normally at noon, in an hour, so there will be no impact on the evening commute. a capital corridor amtrak train hit a woman on the tracks sending her to the hospital at:30 this morning near the c&h sugar factory. no word open her condition. there were 57 passengers on the train which was headed from sacramento to oakland. no one on board was hurt. the tracks re-opened an hour later. there is in word why the woman was on the tracks. >> a wild scene on the peninsula during the commute. we were over the end of a pursuit in mountain view that caused a headache for anyone on the google campus. a suspected drunk driver hit a car in a safeway parking lot and took off then crashed into two other cars, ran across several

immediateans and drove the wrong way in busy morning traffic before crashing his car. he jumped out and took off on for the but he was captured and arrested. he will likely face several charges. >> in san jose, police are investigating a fatal stabbing early this morning in downtown san jose at north 2nd and east st. john street. the investigators say a man in his 20's was stabbed at least once. this is the city's 10 the whom side of the year. >> police have dropped the charges against the trance justice department accused in the stabbing death of 16-year-old ivan diaz after a fight on sunday in campbell at john d. morgan park. he was backed in jail for the murder but he maintained he was defending himself. today, santa clara officials say the suspect has been released. >> business interests and workers are reacting to the city of richmond's bold step toward

requiring the highest minimum wage in the state. katie marzullo is in richmond with more. katie? >> if you work for minimum wage, more is better, and, certainly, a lot of people spoke out in favor of the hike at meeting. we talking about richmond providing the highest minimum wage in the entire state of california: 12 dollars and 30 cents an hour. the increase was going to go to the voters but decided to leave it up to the city council saying, why wait until november? three options in front the city council last night: $11 an hour, $12.30 an hour or $15 an hour. they picked the middle one the i spoke with the chamber of commerce. the chairman of the board says they are not opposed and agrees the minimum wage needs to be higher but they are taking a cautious stand because if it goes too high like to $15 it is bad for business. one person owning multiple

the grenade and the sound of gunfire. this is video sent to us by a viewer on the scene of san pedro avenue hours after the stand off began in pacifica yesterday. it started with family members calling police to say their sons with amended with an ax and was acting paranoid. the neighborhood was evacuated when the s.w.a.t. team moved in and the man stabbed an officer. others opened fire, killing the man. the injured s.w.a.t. member is expected to recover. >> for the first time we hearing the 9-1-1 dispatch calls to firefighters after a news helicopter burst interest flames in seattle right after take off. >> a report that a helicopter at the space needle is on the ground and it is on fire. >> this only the ntsb is trying to figure out what happened. a pilot and a photojournalist were killed in the crash.

a man on the group was seriously burned. seattle's mayor is calling for review of helicopter pad regulations in the city according to the mayor saying the last major changes everyone made more than 20 years ago. there is growing frustration for relatives of the missing passengers of malaysia airlines jet. this is in kuala lumpur when police tried to escort family to a news conference. two relatives are dragged away earlier after they held up a banner and started shouting at malaysian authorities. the search for the missing flight 370 with 227 passengers on board is now focused 1,600 miles southwest of perth but nothing has been found. >> this morning, the malaysian transport minister says files were deleted from the home of a flight similarity at the home of a pilot. the transport minister said that relatives of people in the

warmer-than-average. as far as our temperatures, a lost low-to-mid 70's and we will have low 60's around bodega bay but low 70's along the rest the coast this afternoon. tonight the with the high clouds we will be insulated with the blanket effect and mid-40's around santa rosa and napa and low 50's for the rest of our inland valley and 49 at fremont and palo alto and everyone else is in the low-to-mid 50's around the bay shore and to the coast. high pressure is off to the east bringing us the offshore wind, and the high clouds below the other high pressure which is keeping most of our storm to the north. the high clouds will come in tonight and keep us mild and take away our temperatures tomorrow along with the new on shore wind. we will match ahead tuesday into wednesday and we can see the spring storm coming in with a chance of rain on tuesday night into wednesday. here is the seven-day forecast: two to four degrees cooler tomorrow at the coast and we will see the biggest drop, a couple more degrees on friday and saturday, and we will see a bump up on sunday and monday,
