it's only a matter of time before california feels a stronger shudder. they say there's a 99% of a 6.7 magnitude or larger quake some where in california in the next 30 years. experts fear if it hits on the fault through downtown los angeles, the city of angels could see the same kind of destruction san francisco saw in the 1989 earthquake. >> i'm on edge. potential for a lot of damage is pretty great here. >> reporter: he's another stat from the seismologists to think about this morning. there's about a 5% chance that that 5.1 quake on friday night was what may they call a fore shock, a preview of the bigger quake. the good news, the further from friday night, the chances go down. but i got to tell you, that's little consolation when we keep feeling these little quakes. >> yeah, i can only imagine. hope the seismologists are

wrong about this one. ryan, thank you for your reporting this morning. we appreciate it. a lot of other news overnight. and as always, over to mr. ron claiborne. a look at the headlines. >> good morning, everyone. a wild night on the streets of tucson, arizona. where hundreds of university of arizona fans hit the streets, unset apparently over the wildcats' loss in the ncaa tournament to the university of wisconsin in overtime. 64-64 was the final score. police in right gear rush in to tackle a fan, one who appears to be taunting them. some fans shot off fire crackers and threw bottles at the police. 15 people were arrested. disorderly conduct. nobody was injured. the fans were venting their anger over a controversial whistle by a referee in the game. and general motors has announced yet another recall. they are recalling all of the 2014 chevy silverado 1500 and the gmc sierra, and the 2015

suburban and tahoe. and gmc yukon. that's nearly half a million vehicles. the reason gm says leaks from the transmission's oil cooler line could possibly lead to fires. gm has recalled a total of 5 million vehicles so far this year alone. and in washington state, the death toll rising in last week's horrific mudslide. officials say the number of confirmed dead is now 18. the missing dropped from 90 to 30 as many of the unaccounted for have been found safe and saturday, search crews stopped their recovery efforts to observe a moment of silence to honor those who died. and diplomacy in paris. john kerry is meeting with his russian counterpart in hopes of a diplomatic solution to the ukraine crisis. kerry had been heading home from saudi arabia saturday when he was diverted to paris to talk with the russian foreign minister.

eligibility and picked a private plan on the government-run exchanges. and let's bring in george stephanopoulos. 6 million signed up, the goal was 7 million. does the last minute surge silence the critics of obama care or give them ammo? >> obamacare has come a long way since the problems with the problems with the website back in the fall. likely to approach 7 million signing up. see how many pay the premiums. but here's the important point. about the silence. even though that number is very positive for the supporters of obamacare, what really patters is how many have signed up in the individual states. and whether in those states, you have a good composition of healthy people in the insurance pool. that is the only way to keep the insurance premiums down. >> young, healthy people. but doesn't mean it's not a political headache for the president. it's still not a popular deal. >> not at all. the white house hopes this shows that obamacare is taking hold. but right now, a majority of americans disprove of how the president is handling health care. a lot of the uninsured say

the humble act of confessing his sins. he tweets, takes selfies and made the cover of "rolling stone." and said to connect with catholics like no other pontiff before. and now catholics around the world are talking about his recent act at st. peter's basilica. and he stunned worshippers by kneeling before a so-called ordinary priest and confessed his own sins. original plan, pope francis was expected to go to an empty booth to hear confessions from members of the congregation. instead he chose a different confessional, attended by a priest, dropped to his knees and began talking. it's not the first time the pope has broken with tradition since becoming the leader of the roman catholic church just over a year ago. he has shunned many of the popular rituals in exchange for connecting with the average catholic. and remaining an advocate for the poor. in argentina, the pope voiced

of him since october last year when he was christened. this is a different kind of royal portrait. it's relaxed and open. dare i say it, it even makes them look a bit normal. it's the family photo being talked about around the world. the new royal portrait of the duke and duchess of cambridge. prince george, now 8 months old. the duchess holds the prince as he looks at the family dog, lupo, the 2-year-old cocker spaniel. if you look closely, you can see george's name stitched on his blue sweater. the family portrait is taken by jason bell, the same photographer who took the pictures of the royal christening. the trio are about to embark as sthar first overseas trip as a family, heading to new zealand and australia. >> they are taking baby george with them so they will spend plenty of time with him. >> reporter: the tiny prince has big shoes to fill. his own father was caught taking
