we head through discovery night hours and definitely tomorrow. another storm system, and here is a look at the timing. 5:00 commute time tomorrow, look for thickening clouds, and then tomorrow afternoon, that's when it hits. this is the 5:00 p.m. commute. gust at 35 miles-per-hour and then a little break around 9:00, 10:00, 11:00, and then a second wave moves in on tuesday, and this one is going to bring us a lot of instability stability, showers and isolated thunderstorms. you can track the rain in the bay area using live doppler 7hd on our abc7 news weather app. this just into the news roosevelt firefighters had to rescue a dog that had fallen 200 feet down a cliff. happened around 2:00 p.m. at rodeo beach in marin county. after two hours, rescuers were

friday's southern california earthquake could cause more damage than one on the san andreas fault. it stretches from northern orange county, under downtown los angeles and into hollywood. >> waves traveled through that corridor towards los angeles, and once they're in the basin they reverberate, get amplified and cause stronger shaking. the usgs says 57.5 quake along the fault would bow catastrophic. causing $250 billion in damage. a new report suggests san francisco's emergency water system is inadequate for putting out multiple fires. since then 1906 quake city voters have approved hundreds of millions of dollars in bond money for an elaborate emergency water system, including three large reservoirs and 200

undergroundwater takes. the system has gaps and may not reach all neighborhoods when supplies are stretched. fire officials say the city needs to spend an estimated $18 million on more rigs and equipment so crews can get an unlimited water supply to all of san francisco. families coping with the loss of family, friends, and neighbors, in the washington state landslide are seeking sew solace in church today. 18 people were killed, 30 people are still missing. authorities say they have actually recovered more than two dozen bodies that must be formally identified before adding to the number of the dead. $5,000 is being offered tonight to anyone who knows the whereabouts of a missing san rafael man. robert leslie davis is 93 years old and has been missing for more than a month. he was last seen having dinner with his daughter incourt at the

maybe a little mist and drizzle. for all spents -- intents and purposes its will be better than the evening commute. 5:00, you can see the cold front moving in here. very heavy rain expected. we gate nice break, 7:00, 8:00, 9:00, and then the secondary wave will move in just in time for tuesday morning commute. so very sloppy day on tuesday. isolated thunderstorms expected. here's a look at tuesday evening. trying to get home. and right into the 7:00 period as well. we'll keep moderate rain across the bay area. monday through tuesday, close to two inches expected in the higher elevations, mainly the north bay. lower elevations, we could possibly squeeze out as much as an inch. here's a look at the storm risk assessment. urban flooding and thunderstorms will be in the moderate range. thunderstorms on tuesday, creek flooding slight, and wind damage will be moderate as we do have
