live from the kgo-tv broadcast center this is abc7 news. >> police are hoping these surveillance images will help find a missing menlo park woman last seen here at a state park before she went for a jog. thanks for joining us. >> law enforcement at the local and state levels are joining forces to try to solve the mysterious disappearance of the 33-year-old software developer who vanished a week ago. abc7 news reporter cornell bernard is at menlo park police. cornell? >> yes, kristen, police were contacted over the weekend by search crews looking for the woman who want missing a week ago near mount tamalpais. she lives here in menlo park and

today the search is taking a new turn. >> sky 7 was over mount tamalpais state park where the search for 33-year-old woman from menlo park has been going on for a week. a rescue team is running out of comes. today they took a new direction. >> search was suspended so we could refocus the investigation on a more personal basis. we are contacting family members. we are contacting people that are close to the missing person. >> last sunday she left a note say she was going for a hike but hasn't been seen since. she was seen at a parking lot on mount tam. she was wearing a light sweatshirt, shorts and running shoes. there are reports the software engineer updated her linkedin page after she disappeared. officials say that is not the case. officials are asking park goers to be on the look out. >> we are asking visitors to

keep an eye out for the missing person. we are making sure we are communicating with that and making sure we are conducting an investigation on the disappearance of this person and doing everything possible to bring her back to her parents. >> her parents, from the boston area, have just arrived in the bay area to help in the search. police want to know if she contacted anyone before her disappearance. >> thank you. police are on the look out for a shooter who opened fire on a man in south san jose. it happened before 3:00 this morning on snow drive near an elementary school. the victim was found suffering from one gunshot wound. right new he is in serious-but-stable condition. >> we are learning more about the victim of a major head-on crash in napa county that killed a four-year-old boy and injured several others. investigators say that a chef and restaurant owner was

seriously hurt in the accident. the 58-year-old and her husband were in the lexus s.u.v. that collided with the chevrolet s.u.v. on highway 121 carrying a four yield boy and his mother. the boy died at the hospital and his mother was seriously wounded. the 23-year-old driver was also taken to the hospital. witnesses say that the chevrolet crossed the double yellow line just before the crash. >> a man is in a hospital after falling off a scaffolding at 8:00 this morning in uc berkeley. he was cleaning windows at the university's international house and he lost his footing. the police say he was taken to the hospital with head injuries and we do not have any word on his condition. look at this, a camper caught fire at 8:30 in the parking lot of a san francisco wall green -- walgreens. you can see big flames and lots of smoke. the owner said that he was

cooking and stepped away and he thinks that is what caused the fire. fortunately, no one was hurt and walgreens says they are still open for business. >> there was a fire at highway 101 at old bayshore highway and firefighters called for extra assistance but the fire was under control if an hour. no one was hurt. the cause of the fire is under investigation. >> after a week of rain, the bay area is starting to heat up. our meteorologist, mike nicco, is on the roof with a look at how hot temperatures will get. mike, you are turning pink. >> sorry? >> you got your sunscreen? >> i always have sunscreen. not so much when i was younger. make sure you put some sunscreen on the in few days. no jacket required on the roof in the mid-to-upper 60's, and check out this beautiful picture from exploritorium camera, you can see how calm the bay water is right now. look at the temperatures

had a crowd. san francisco police have seen this, but never a group wandering around at night tipping over cars. this video is funny to look 59, they are not laughing. police say they are treating this as felony vandalism and that is because of how much damage was done to the cars. at this point they have not made any arrests. a sick one-year-old girl stranded off the coast of mexico is making her way back to california this morning because of a rescue crew from moffett field on a navy frigate. four members of the 129th rescue wing parachuted to the family's stranded sailboat over the weekend and began treatment. she develop add fever and a rash over most of her body while her family was two weeks into a cows around the world. they are expected to arrive in san diego tomorrow or wednesday. >> drivers crossing the golden gate bridge into san francisco started paying more money this morning. the toll went up to $6. the drivers with fast track
