and sausalito and as far as the north bay, home 80's and as we head into the east bay shoreline, upper 70's to nearly 80 with 83 in castro valley the warm spot and as you go through the east you will have mid-80's in the east bay valley. >> expect more 50's tonight and more cloud cover at the coast and holding steady through thursday and drop on friday and saturday and at our coolest we are sometime above average. the crash has cleared northbound to westbound 4 with no cars blobbing lanes and all on the shoulder. all at top speeds and green. westbound 580 is bumper-to-bumper truck and 26 miles per hour is the top speed and it does not get better closer to north flynn road and it will take you 38 minutes from address to dutch lib and 15 --

much of the neighborhood is still affected. we are at the san jose and campbell border. nick? fast moving blames and a steady gas leak were a mix to keep the fire bumping for hours. this car is destroyed behind me. and some of the video we shot when we got to the scene show firefighters spending hours pouring water from every angle to put out the blaze. part of the problem was a gas line fueling the fire even after the walls of one of the homes bushed to the ground. the house where the fire started is come completely destroyed and was so big it spread to two other houses. this neighborhood is full of water are called ickler homes and one resident we caught up in the confusion was aware of the danger. >> it is unfortunate. they are nice houses but they not meant to withstand a fire. it is unfortunate. when there is a fire it is a big

issue. that is the number one concern of any of these owners. >> because the homes can burn so quickly they have the nickname "seven minute iykler," and the neighbors homes have been badly damage with the gas not being cut off for two hours. the cause is under investigation and crews remain on the scene. we believe at day break we will have an opportunity to speak to one of the investigators. >> this morning, a los angeles police officer has his bullet-proof vest to thank for saving has life at he was shot seven times. a map said he had a complaint and opened into the lapd police department, and he opened fire hitting the officer seven times.

but two to four degree cooler and holding steady and the cooling spreads further inland by friday. have a good one. >> as we talk about our morning traffic we will see what is happening along 580 westbound from tracy to dublin it is 41 minutes. highway four is moving along the anti-back to to to -- antioch to concord is 17 minutes and the eastern span of the bay bridge shows construction that will last until 2:00 p.m. that is in the eastbound direction on the lower deck as you leave san francisco, we will see a few lanes blocked. that will last until 2:00. if you are headed into the city right now you can see the traffic is building as you wine your way around where it loosens up the closer you get to the city. >> a set back in the missing

mountain view for the warm spot and 58 in san jose and 55 in concord and livermore and san ramon at 51. downtown, san francisco, toward the ferry building, you will want to trap the sunglasses. cooler at the coast into san francisco because of the microclimate of a sea breeze. the cooling will spend deeper tonight through saturday and the storms will stay away. dominant high pressure again and cold front to the west but with the ridge if place it will be directed to the north over and into the eastern two-thirds of the country. our temperatures will peak because we will have a light offshore wind in that part of the bay area, 80 milpitas, and a lot of low-to-mid 80's through the santa clara valley and 87 in los gatos and the other side of

the mountain, santa cruz is only 77. 79 in san mateo. low-to-mid 80's for most of the peninsula and upper 60's to nearly 70's in the coast, can cooler than year, still warmer-than-average in the low-to-mid 80's through the north bay valleys with upper 60 at the beaches and only berkeley and oakland and hair -- hayward at 78 and mid-80's in the east bay valley. a lost 50's tonight with more fog on the coast and that will spread into the bay. the 80's are holding on in san jose but, then, we drop 15 degrees as we head through the weekend into next week. you can see that on the seven-day forecast, in many other areas, at least 10- to 15-degrees cooler by this weekend and temperatures are still above average. >> the accident may have just

welcome back, a hiking trail at yosemite is closed after a massive rock fall. the national park service says no one was hurt march 31 when 16,000 tons of rock fell 500' from a cliff near the reservoir. officials say many boulders tumbled in the water but some crushed trees and destroyed 400' of the trail. the trail will remain closed.
