we're learning about the alleged motive and methods of a concord police officer charged with stealing drugs from the elderly >> officer matthew switser resigned after multiple counts of burglary and elder abuse. laura? >> hi, larry well, he did not appear for the hearing this afternoon. his attorney did. the attorney told us his client's own good judgment was overcome by addiction. the prosecutor says that may be a reason but not a legal excuse.
