amy? >> one victim is revealing how students on the tour bus survived. leyla gulen mentioned, the southbound lane of i-5 have just re-opened but the wreckage is there on the highway northbound lanes, though, are closed. these pictures appeared after the crash. an 18-year-old on the bus involved in the crash now says that the inside of the bus was filled with smoke and 40 students on board the bus escaped through a back window that someone kicked open. it all happened in the bling of an eye. ten people were killed including both the drivers from the tour bus and the fedex truck. more than 30 were hurt, some were critical, many suffering from burns. the tour bus was toless an and full of high school students. >> we are saddened to hear about a tragedy that occurred in

northern california involving students. these are students that were involved in a college trip on the way to humboldt university. >> investigators worked through the night at this point. authority know the fedex truck was traveling in the opposite direction of the bus, crossed the center divider, and sideswiped a white car and crashed head on into the bus. they are still trying to figure out, why? they did on the southbound lanes the past hour and the north side of the interstate will not open until at least 7:00 this morning. authorities are still investigating at the scene. the ntsb is scheduled to give a press conference about the investigation. we are continuing to follow this developing story and monitor all new developments. stay with us. in the newsroom for abc7 news. >> governor brown says we extend our heartfelt and deep sympathies to the families, friends and loved ones of those

cases against two other 49ers are scheduled in san jose court today, one on a hit-and-run accident involving a bicyclist in san jose last facing two misdemeanors including a felony for having brass knuckles which were found in his car. >> lawyers for a linebacker smith are due in court setting a date for preliminary hearing on separate cases involving charges of driving under the influence and gun possession. smith is not required it appear in court. he went into rehab after the d.u.i. arrest and missed five games. in 2012, sheriff deputies responded to a fight and a shooting at an early morning fire at smith's home. deputies found five rifles in the house. a former glide foundation employee is charged with stealing $120,000 from a

charity. the woman is facing 66 counts of formry and other charges accused of taking money from the san francisco chronicle "season of sharing," and using her position at glide to submit fraudulent elections for emergency housing aid and pocketing the money. >> a noro virus quarantined in the cabins and only 37 people were sick when the crown princess arrived in san francisco on monday. the ship is docked in san diego this morning and it is due back in los angeles tomorrow. >> the 11-year-old berkeley boy who underwent surgery to have the leg amputated says he is sleepy but doing well. >> i feel fine. but it feels like i am moving my
