federal authorities will take over the investigation into a deadly tour bus crash this morning on interstate 5. a fedex truck slammed into a bus of high school students killing ten people north the sacramento. our reporter is near the scene with the very latest. mary? >> yes, good morning, kristen. many of the victims of the gruesome crash were teen students on a college tour a trip that was supposed to be about planning their future. this is all that a is left of the vehicles involved in a horrible accident on a california highway. ten people were killed and dozens were injured when a fedex truck hit a car and smashed head on into a charter bus on thursday afternoon. >> they hear a loud "boom" at 5:00 the whole house shook. >> the bus was fully engulfed. >> it kept popping and

billioning -- booming. >> the vehicles went up in smoke. it shut down traffic on i-5 north of sacramento carrying high school students and chaperones. >> we are saddened to hear about a tragic that occurred if northern california involving students. these are students involved in a college trip on the way to humboldt university. >> plans rushed to the scene and first responders set up with injured students helped away from the wreckage. some walked on their own. owners were carried. the california highway patrol says the fedex truck was headed southbound and it crossed the divider but it is not clear, why. >> everyone is taken care of. now the investigation starts. >> fedex said "our thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved in the accident on i-5 in california.

kaepernick. police in miami are involving an incident where a woman partying with kaepernick ended up in the hospital wondering if she was sexually assaulted. we are in santa clara with more. nick? >> it is important to messages that the police are only causing it "suspicious." that is, they are not calling it a sexual assault because that is not detailed in the police report. look at this: the april 1 incident involves a woman with whom kaepernick had a previous sexual relationship at miami apartment of seattle seahawks wide receiver. the woman filed this report with miami police on the evening of april 3 and no players have been questioned, arrested, or charged. teammates are also named in the report. >> right now there is not much we can say other than it is just

suspended state senator yee and 28 defendants. the federal prosecution is not saying whether they listen to add new charges. the announcement was in court yesterday. most of the defendants are scheduled to be in court later this morning for a status hearing. he is accused of importing firearms and accepting prescribes. bart's board voteed to give top managers raises. the pay increases total 3.5 percent. the general manager will get more than $325,000 in pay and benefits. fur other bart managers will get pay increases including the district's independent police auditor. the bart directors voted to spent $250,000 to hire a consultant they hope to help improve contract talks with employees and avoid strikes in the future. >> oakland mayor quan says the crown prince of dubai is

parching to build an entertainment center at the coliseum complex to include new stadiums for the raiders and amendment's. she appeared on radio station 95.7 and said they have the capital to invest in coliseum city. besides new stadiums, the development includes a hotel, shops, and new homes. >> the father of the country has a net worth of $4 billion. >> a sailor rescued after going overboard in the middle of a yacht race in the pacific is set to dock in san francisco this morning. the 4-year-old andrew taylor was knocked over this month in the race from china to california and the rescue was caught on tape. the crew fought to maneuver the boat close to him but the waves pushed him further back. after 90 minute he was pull out of the water and on to the yacht. he will dock at 9 south beach yacht club at at pier 40 before

force could be in talks to take over parts of the new transbay tower in downtown san francisco. sales force will make an announcement this morning with the mayor and house minority leader nancy pelosi. they celebrated the 15th anniversary last month. this is described as an historic investment in the city on the 25th floor of the fremont state building where they are the major tenant and across the street from the new transbay tower construction site. >> do not expect to have amazon orders delivered by drones. c.e.o. laid out future in the letter to shareholders and says they are testing the unmanned aircraft but it would take years before the technology and federal regulators are ready for such a thing. he says that amazon plans to expand the grocery delivery service to more cities. the same day service is

the debt toll in a deadly tour bus crash on i-5 climbed to ten overnight. a fedex truck crashed head on into the bus fill of high school students. ntsb team will arrive this morning. abc7 news reporter amy hollyfield has a report with the latest in a few minutes. >> miami police are clarifying the nature of their investigation at a hotel party involving kaepernick and two other players. it does not say a crime was committed. right now it is an "incident report." >> the woman who claims to be raped by an off-duty san jose police officer reported this only after she was arrested these week later on drunk driving charges curing to the san jose mercury news. the 38-year-old officer has not entered a plea. >> we now have an estimate on how much it will confident to rescue a san diego family with a
