they're still piecing together clues in the television between a fedex truck and a bus full of prospective college students. >> during the briefing just less than an hour ago, investigators offered a lot of new information. they're looking into the report from a witness who said she saw the fedex truck on fire before it hit he bus. home video shot after the crash shows a plume of smoke. the witness account of flames is from the driver of a nissan altima going in the same direction of the bus. that driver saw flames coming from under the cab of the fedex truck when it swiped their car and then careened into the motor coach. that truck and the -- belling vehicles have been removed from the interstate. ntsb investigators have begun sifting through the wreckage as part of their inquiry. they'll start downloading information from a data

recording box from the bus but they were not able to recover the recorder from the fedex tractor-trailer because it was destroyed. they might be able to determine the speed of the truck by examining the transmission. they found skidmarks from the bus indicating an attempt to donnell the crash but no skidmarks from the fedex truck. >> it left the southbound leans at a 10-degree angle, and there are no tiremarks, which would be no braking tiremarks in the median or the northbound lanes. reporter: today we're also learning more about the victims, like 19-year-old adrian castro, a football player, and marissa soratto, whose identical twin was on a separate bus. ten people confirmed dead. five students, three chaperones can, two drivers. we'll have more details at 11:00. in the newsroom, abc7 news.

>> stay with abc7 news for the latest developments on this story, and follow us on twitter@abc7 news bay area. breaking news now just minutes ago investigators determined a body found on mt. atm is that of a menlo park woman. the surveillance photo shows the 33-year-old woman in a mt. tam parking lot march 30th. she was reported missing a few days later sparking a massive search. investigators were back out on the search today after someone called in a tip. reporter: more than 100 search and rescue volunteers resumed their search for 33-year-old woman of menlo park. two hours into the search came a grim discovery. two of the cadaver dogs involved in the search efforts alerted to the presence of a possible dough ceased body. reporter: the woman's body was found near a remote drainage ditch on the northeast side of

mt. tam. >> unusual for people to travel these areas which explain why she had not been located. >> a trail runner says he saw her the day she vanished. employed say today's discovery indicates the woman may have fallen. >> there's no indication of any foul play. there's no indication that this may be anything more than an accident. >> everytime i go hiking, always a certain level of danger so just be careful. >> hikers say they realize tam can be treacherous and they know the risks. her parents, who live in boston, have been notified about the discovery. on mt. tamalpais, abc7 news. an oakland man is in marin county jail on suspicion of raping a woman in sausolito. the suspect, 51-year-old deeing a go rodriguez, met the victim last night to discuss a possible job opening. police say rodriguez bought her drinks and allegedly assaulted the victim in a park. the woman then locked herself in

a boardroom stall and called police. a man is recovering tonight from multiple gunshot wounds suffered in a daylight shooting in oakland. police were calledder in the intersection of 16th and lip den streets. authorities are looking for suspects. just minutes after police responded to that shooting, an oakland police officer was involved in an accident. the officer's patrol car was hit by another vehicle. the officer suffered moderate injuries and was hospitalized. the other driver, who was not injured, stopped and cooperated with police. police in santa clara believe a drive mistook the gas pedal for the brake and slammed into two homes this morning. the van ended up between the two homes, agates line at one home was sheered off. >> you heard the gas whooshing out of the meter, and we came

out and the fire department and the police were here within three minutes, and were able to get the gas off fairly quickly. pg&e crews dug up part of the driveway to check on the main line. the gas leak prompted police to evacuate between eight to ten homes as a precaution. the driver walked away witch a seatbelt bruce to the collarbone. >> firefighters in san jose say a fire that destroyed a detached garage and two cars was most likely accidental. it was just 12:30 this morning when the fire broke out. the resident heard an explosion and raced outside. flames took down the garage and the two cars in the driveway. they spread to a neighbor's detached garage before firefighters were able to get control. san mateo county residents being alerted there has been a mountain lion saying near pal low mar park.

-- palmar park. officials say if you encounter a mountain lion-don't run away. make is no and face the cat. >> this wild turkey has been seen near as scott drive. now it was shot with an error. we'll zoom in on the error because -- arrow because it is difficult to see. animal control needs the public's help to cam tour -- capture it. it could get an infection which would make it easier to catch. a group of volunteers gave up a saturday morning to turn a san francisco playground into a colorful, inviting play area. the transformation happened at george washington carver elementary school. 80% of the students are on the school lunch program. studies show people who have access to a good play area will have a better experience throughout the day.

the university of california is giving prospective students more time to work on applications for the 2015 school year. students will be allowed to view the applications beginning all 1st. two months earlier than previous years. it gives students more time to work on their applications which include essays and letters of recommendation. completed applications must be submitted in november. >> politicians and students are calling for investigations into a wild party that led to the arrest of 130 people in santa

barbara. last saturday night near the campus as many as 25,000 people jammed the area. four sheriff's deputies were injured, including one who was clock ared with a bag pack full of bottles of booze. google will sell its google glass for one day only on april april 15:00. it will only be sold online and only to adults in the u.s. until now, google has only sent glass to select developers or explorers who give the company feed baeck. glass will cost $1,500 and google will throw in a pair of frames. instagram says a feed delivery problem is why its app one working correctly this morning. yers cooperate load new photos on their feed and many then headed to twitter to express their despair.

a city crew made a little mistake while painting a road in oakland. this is the corner of mlk and arlington avenue. check out the spelling of the word "stop." s-o-t-p. it was pointed out on twitter by an oakland resident. the opd responded on twitter,ed a admitting it's a picture classic that can be fixed if it's reported to the web site where citizens can report problems in the city and see them get fixed. next week, san francisco's exploratorium celebrates one full year at its new building on the city waterfront. it's been filled with record attendance and groundbreaking exhibits. abc7 news is the exhibit's official tv partner. tomorrow we dan ashley hosts an

the coast, lingering gray into the afternoon. tomorrow morning, upper 40s to low 50s. clouds, maybe a little spotty mist and drizzle. tomorrow afternoon, it's going to be a nice, bright day in the south bay. 75, morgan hill. 70 in sunnyvale. sun shining on the peninsula. low 70s for redwood city. 62 in half moon bay. we'll hang on to the gray into the january in daly city, 64 downtown san francisco, and in the north bay, 74, santa rosa. 71, san rafael. east bay, 68, oakland. inland, up to mild to warm side in places like livermore. 78. 76, walnut creek. the accuweather seven-day forecast, temperatures come up a few more degrees for the start of the work week, low 60s to low 80s, and then the numbers come down. still a little above normal for this time of year.

breezy during the time period. and we'll call it near average or slightly above for the latter half of the work week, but no rain. >> and low 80s for april. thank you so much. rick quan is here now. in for mike shumann. i wanted to talk about the masters. >> no tiger woods but there's something to watch. jordan spieth is a good reason to watch the masters. after three rounds the young texan has a share of the lead. he has been steady throughout. today he fired a 70. third straight subpar round. jiminez is 30 years older than spieth but the best round of the tournament. 66. matt kuchar is one off the pace.

bubba watson's eagle but shot a 74 which drops him into a tie for first at 5-under. watson shares the lead with spieth, who just turned pro in 2012. he drops in this putt for a birdie. if he does win, he would become the youngest masters champ ever. so let's look at the lead leaderboard, watson and spieth on top. kuchar and blix, and then jim necessary and ricky fowler round out the top five. >> i have a lot of respect for this golf course. it seems to be playing as difficult as it has in quite a while. you have to just accept par and accept the fact you're going to have some wicked fast putts and that why i'll lose more hair this week, he's young. he has -- nerves are no big deal to him. i've won one, so i've got that going for me. if i play bad tomorrow i'll still have a green jacket. that's the positive i have to go for. >> the giants game today,

averaging almost six runs a contest, second best in the national league but the offense was put on pause by the rockies pitching staff. this young lady going to have a good time. in the third inning, a man on third. tulowitzki fires to shallow right. pence with the throw home but not time to get blackmon. brett anderson hurt his hand in the fourth in this at-bat. he is in pain. a bruised left index finger caused him to sit out the rest of the contest. giants held to the hits. pablo sandoval had one and thought he had another one but he's gunned down. matt cane pitched well, striking out eight over seven. but the offense couldn't come through. in the eight with the bases loaded, the panda is struck out. giants lose. >> the yankees took a bat to lackey. beltran goes deep.

then mccann goes deep, and then soriano gets his third and then in the sixth, mccann goes larden. kelly johnson also homered as the yankees hit five in all. all off lackey. they beat boston, 7-4. two-time defending pac-12 champ stanford wrapped up spring football with the cardinal and white game. stanford is set at quarterback with kevin hogan. but he is picked up by john flacco, the younger brother of joe flacco. hair hoping to get a good year of out barry sanders, jr. hogan through for a pair of touchdowns. and despite the score the white beat the cardinal. while stanford lost several star players on defense, hogan says the team will be just fine. >> almost seems like a reload. we lost some good guys in the front seven, and secondary, but
