cooler tomorrow and dry pattern for the week with the full seven-day forecast straight ahead. at 6:00 this morning this is how the roads are shaping up. we have one accident that is blocking the left lane and this is along westbound 580 where it is causing quite the backup as you start to leave i-5 to take i-5 up to 205 connecting you to 580 with 47 bart trains on time. no delays on muni. >> more on the breaking news from brentwood city a pedestrian has been hit and killed by a car this morning. amy hollyfield is at the scene with the latest. amy? >> yes, the pedestrian was killed trying to cross middlefield road in redwood city, a big, busy street.

investigators say it appears the man tried to run across the street right as a car was approaching and the vehicle could not stop and lit and killed the man. this happened at 2:00 this morning, and they do not think the driver was under the influence of any substance. he stopped, he pulled over, cooperated with investigators. they do think that the man who was killed had been drinking and the man is in his 60's and it appears he was under thefully of alcohol. they have cleared the scene and the road is open this morning, now they just trying to put together the evidence and figure out why this happened. >> developing news, firefighters this morning dealing with several small fires at the same building of a five alarm fire in san jose, a look at the scene on park avenue officials say that three small fires are burning inside the building and crews

keeping an eye on the situation say the fires are too far into the collapsed building to go inside. firefighters stayed on the scene all night after a major fire. the building used to who us a foam tv station and was overtaken by squatters. arrest son land to speak with a few people in the building when it began and matt will have more on the investigation in 30 minutes. >> we hear from a jogger who saw a missing woman on mount tamalpais before her death. teams found the body of 33-year-old magdalena glinkowski of menlo park on mount tamalpais on saturday reported missing after not being seen at home since march 30. the marin county sheriff focused the search on the area near the parking lot. a security camera captured this image of magdalena glinkowski in the lot. a jogger reports seeing someone matching her description in the same area. >> she was wearing shorts.

she had her sweatshirt. she didn't have a backpack. she didn't have water. it didn't look like she was out for a long hike. >> investigators found no obvious sign of foul play they are waiting for autopsy results. >> a woman is in custody this morning in connection with an attack on a worker at a jack-in-the-box in pleasanton. the woman stabbed a male employee at restaurant early yesterday or. investigators identified the woman through surveillance video and same -- statements from the witnesses. she was booked in jail for attempted murder. >> a submarine will plunge deep below the indian ocean today to see if signals detected by other high-tech equipment are the black boxes creating a map of the area to chart debris on the

sea floor. crews have not picked up a signal in six days. they fear the batteries on the recorders are dead. crews have located an oil slick and have collected samples. in the bay area a san francisco board of supervisors committee today will hear supervisors proposal to establish a late night transportation plan including officials from the transportation agency, and a.c. transit and bart and the taxi industry. they are looking at safety and ease of access to public transportation for people out late at night working or enjoying night life. >> there is word of another possible problem on the new bay bridge, cable sections and rods on the eastern span are rusting and according to the newspaper, rust has been found inside one of the chambers where a suspension cable is attached and engineering experts say this is significant because it makes the rods and strands insided chamber

vulnerable to cracking and the rust can lead to structural damage if the corrosion worsens. a spokesman says that there is no concern of corrosion. >> a united nations report says that there is still a shot at averting the serious consequences of climate change if governments act right away. greenhouse gas emissions will have to be cup by 40 percent to 70 percent and to 0 at end of the century and called for cooperation between the countries to reach the goal through more investment in renewable energy and setting up carbon pricing standards. >> pinole city leaders will consider asking for a sales tax increase to pay if city services the city council will consider a tax hike of a quarter a percent or half a percent going to the

covering walnut creek, burlingame, campbell and all the bay area, this is abc7 news. a utah woman is facing murder charges this morning after seven dead babies were found inside her home. the 39-year-old megan huntsman was arrested on saturday after giving birth to the children over a 10-year period. investigators say huntsman's estranged husband discovered this cleaning out garage. they owned the home but she has not lived there since 2007 the she has three daughters a teen and two young adults.

out. matt keller is at the scene in san jose. >> firefighters are styling with the hot spots and a captain said there were three active fires in the rubble here at the former television station and a firefighter told me they expect hotspots to burn over the next couple of days. 100 firefighters responded to the fire at park after it was first reported at 3:00 in the afternoon. this is video from the eyewitness and it took firefighters two hours to get the flames under criminal and burned so hot that the paint on a fire truck bubbled up. the plume could be several miles away. >> the debris was hitting my face and i heard a big "crash" and something collapsed. >> that was the roof and second floor of the building. firefighters say the building was popular with squaters. a man was one of 28 homeless who lived in the building and all

are accounted for. arson team is expected here to check things out and look into the cause when they finish the investigation allowing the firefighters to see if there are victims in the rubble. >> this morning, berkeley fire investigators are using heavy equipment to dig through the rubble of a warehouse to determine the cause of a five alarm fire on saturday. flames destroyed three businesses at 2nd street. 70 firefighters from around east bilaled the fire for several hours and the 40,000 square foot building housessed wooden duck and josh what tree and furniture store all gutted causing $1 million in damage to inventory at the import tile warehouse. in santa clara, an investigation is under way after the fatal shooting of a woman by

police officers before 5:00 yesterday. police say the dispatchers got a call from a woman threatening to hurt herself and she attacked the officers with a bat. they opened near and struck the woman. she was rushed to the hospital where slow died. the names of the woman and officers are not released. >> a san jose police officer accused of rape is expected to enter a plea when he returns to court after being formally charge rape assaulting a woman he escorted to a hotel after a domestic disspew. her d.n.a. was found on his bullet prove vest. he is on paid leave from the police department. >> new details of a deadly shooting spree in kansas, and the suspect is a long time kkk leader. three people were killed at a jewish community center and jewish retirement complex near kansas city yesterday on the

here is a look from the east bay hills camera looking like dry ice pouring over the east bay hills. we waking up to patchy fog around the bay area and cloud cover that will burn off. satellite is not bringing any returns. this is what we can expect for the day: sunshine for 12 hours.

we are waking up to cooler temperatures and we will warm up by lunch. it will cool off nicely and we will see the blood moon but more on that ahead. but, now, how is traffic shaping up? we have areas of slowing and the fog is covering 101 from petaluma southbound and northbound. the traffic southbound at highway 116, so drive with low beams. be careful. >> a total lieu your eclipse. it will turn the moon orange and it is called a "blood moon," when the earth passes between the moon and the sun. this is the first of four over the next year and a half.

house fire. amy hollyfield is at the scene. amy? >> yes, 40 minutes to knock down the fire. fremont fire tweeted out this picture of the fire. it was a garage and two cars burning when they got here at 4:30 this morning if fremont. five people were living in the home including a grandmother in a wheelchair. they all got out the no one was hurt. firefighters all okay. however, two dogs were killed. the fire is now out. the street is blocked. while they conduct their investigation they have not released a cause. thank you. trading is underway on wall street. >> how is the dow? back in positive territory, after ending last week on down notes, the dow is up 81 points
