1906. they give it a fresh coat each year and everyone gets a turn to grab the spray can and spray paint on there and they can dedicate their spray to a survivor from the earthquake or a first responder. there have been a range of people they mention. this celebration and ceremony started on market street where they held a moment of silence and rang the sirens at the moment the earthquake struck at 5:11, and right around that time they had a moment silence and the fountain is where the survives gathered after the earthquake one of the only structures still sanding on market street after the evening. the chief and the mayor have been saying throughout the morning this is a good day to ask your sell, are you ready if the next earthquake? they have spent the morning stressing the experience of being prepared.

new developments in the case after 10-month-old girl beat be so badly it is fought likely she will survive. police arrested the foster father and police say three was arrested without incident and turned over to stockton police. this morning he is in jail. according to the police he has been on the run since march 30 when the police first responded to the home and found her with serious injuries. the name is not released. she is at children's hospital in oakland. >> a gang member convicted of killing a 23-month-old boy in a gang shootout is sentenceed to 25 years to life if prison when he was 16 and part of a gang gun battle at a housing project. a 23-month-old was shot and killed. he apologized to the family.

>> in the past half hour we con filled this is homicide. evidence markers are on the ground. a shotspotter activation alerted police to the shooting. this is the home and plumbing business. the business owner was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and airlifted to the medical center. at the same time, another man was driven to the hospital with a gunshot wound and he died at the hospital. police say they are trying to figure what happened. police thought it was an interrupted burglary and are trying to figure if the person with drove the man to the hospital was involved. police block off the area for 5 1/2 hours. they will be here for another couple more hours. bart doesn't expect any residual delays this morning from a train that derailed on a sidetrack. we are waiting for bart to tell

covering benecia and san mateo and all the bay area, this is abc7 news. >> a team pleaded no contest to vehicular manslaughter for an accident that killed a dublin woman and injured her husband. the 19-year-old will serve nine years in state prison in exchange for the plea and will be sentenced may 30. the decision came a year after he drove the car off the road and struck and killed a woman and injured her husband while bicycling near the regional park. the prosecution wanted to charge him with murder after investigators found social media posts where he boasted of driving fast.
