live from the kgo-tv broadcast center this is abc7 news. >> it appears a burglary gone one man is dead. another man is in the hospital in the east bay. it started as a burglary and it ended with gunfire. matt keller just finished talking with police and joins us with the latest details. matt? >> police say in the past 15 minutes three people have been arrested. they are now questioning questioned for the burglary that turned into a gunfight.

>> the evidence tells a violent story showing where shell casings dropped at 1:00 o'clock a.m. with two guns fired in different directions. boom. boom. boom. >> how many did you hear? >> i heard, maybe, ten. >> the 71-year-old man who lives there with his wife report add burglary. spot shotter pointed officers to the spot. the man is in stable condition. a 28-year-old richmond resident was also shot and he was driven by two people to a hospital. he died from the injuries. >> when the sun goes down there is no lights. >> police are investigating who fired the shots at the 71-year-old man. five superior plumbing vans packed on the rot. i called the business and a, who are say they are moving in while the man and his wife are moving

out. violence is common in this area. >> you were not surprised to come across a crime scene? >> never surprised. it is sad. >> the 71-year-old man had a right to protect his life and property. because this took place during a crime, the district attorney could charge the burglary suspects of the murder of their co-conspirator. >> thank you. concord police are vetting the city's first homicide of the year. a man was shot and killed in downtown concord before 9:00 last night and it happened as the 18-year-old victim from antioch was killed. police are looking if witnesses. there is no would ordinary a senator. >> folks in sonoma have a good samaritan to thank after get them out safely before their home went up in flames.

a security breach at michael's craft stores is worst than thought. they say up to 2.5 million customers could be at risk from a security breach involving debit and credit cards. in january the company announced michael's and aaron brothers, owned by michael's, was hacked. michaels has been receiving reports of fraud and hackers used malware that the security firmed had never seen before. >> there have been hidden credit card skimmers at g.s.a. pumps after fraudulent a.t.m. withdrawals in southern california. police confiscated skimmers and have not released the locations. the devises capture information from credit and tell bit cars and residents should check the bank statements and they advise gas station customers to pay inside with cash, if possible, and some of the cases are on the rise in santa cruz and santa clara counties.

of showers. so, things are changing and feeling more like spring behind the weekend which is good news so to you are out and about we have the warmer day on sunday and this is where the fog is going to be later today, the possibility still remaining if showers, and in the sierra valleys and the central sierra and these will see isolated thunderstorms, as well, and, in fact, some high elevations and a stronger storm headed our way impacting us, as well, with 61 in monterey and mid-80's in fresno and a little in southern california and we are looking at a nice day overall with temperatures mostly in the 60's and 70's, but if you are right in the fog bank, half moon bay, with breezy wind and 69 at palo alto and 68 in santa cruz, and 73 in morgan hill, and upper 60's if san rafael, and we will be looking at a cool evening tonight, grab the jacket if you are headed over to the coliseum and temperatures are starting out in the upper 50's and
