>> late season showers heading for the bay area. this is live look from the exploratorium camera and you can see the cloud over san francisco right now. >> they will bring rain and wet weather could cause few hassle for the morning commute. good evening. >> meteorologist sandhya here with details on the rain that is falling right now. sandhya. >>reporter: yes, writ now the live doppler 7hd will show you the rain is falling mainly to the north of the bay area. it is around the ukiah area and very light. i will get you in a little bit closer here. so far ukiah picked up 2 hundredths inch of rain and that's about it. as we pull out here some of the moisture that was moving across the sea ranch area has lighten up right now but we do have more moisture on the way and it will head towards the bay area in the overnight hours. tomorrow morning you will run into damp roadway and as dan mentioned a hassle for the morning commute. back with detailed look at 2 more systems that may impact us as we head into the next 7 da

days. >> all right thank you. remember you can track the rain in your neighborhood any time using the abc 7 weather app. free to down load. information for you on our web site slash app. >> to the story that the well country is talking about. 15-year-old bay area boy who somehow survived a 5 and a half hour flight to hawaii hidden in the whale well of a 7 67. santa clara teenager scaled a fence at san jose international yesterday and climbed up the landing gear of hawaiian airlines jet. lillian is live at the boy's home in santa clara tonight where lillian we learn more about the kid. >>reporter: it's amazing the teen not only survived but was unharmed. as far as we know he is not back home. neighborsstes parents and 3 siblings. >> ixicab coming out occasionally. >>reporter: people in the neighborhood said family has lived in the rental house for about a year. they say the dad is a cab driver and along with

the rest of the family only seen when coming and going. >> they are really quiet. neighbors. so yes. so we really don't hear noises or anything. >>reporter: unclear when the 15-year-old boy will return to the bay area. fbi says he ran away from home after fight then headed to san jose where he hopped a fence. claimed into the wheel well of hawaiian ai 7 67 7 67. he was unconscious for most of the fave and a half hour flight the maui. >> he was weak. hung from the wheel well fell to the ground regained strength and stood up and started walking to the front of the aircraft. >>reporter: plane as lrj as this there is some room in the wheel well so somebody can climb up the tire and into the space. security camera captured video of the boy moments before he made the the climb. >> what we do have is some footage that shows an unidentified person walking on the airport ramp during darkness hours and approaching the hawaiian airline aircraft in question.

>> city owns and operates the airport and no plan to pursue criminal charges against the teen. in south bay, this is 7 news. >> concerns about security ty airport there following this breach. airport is surrounded by 6 miles of chain link fence. 6 feet high with barb wire at the top. airport says it need or exceed all standard and also surville's camera posted along the fence line. but the airport is not nobody triggered the alert when the teen approached the plane. the plane he stowed away on reached 38,000 feet which means the teen survived below zero temperatures with little oxyge oxygen. doctors believe that may what saved his life. >> brain the brain vit aling aln don't need much oxygen when the temperature goes down so much so he was if sort of in a a state of suspended animation. i suspect because he had a healthy brain and heart he was

able to survive this. >> the teen says he blacked out and does not remember making the trip. >> from 1947 until 2012 the faa documented 105 stow away who have made it into wheel well, nose well and other unpressureize areas of mraechbilitys just 25 of them survive the trip so about a quarter of them. the others were either crushed by the landing gear or didn't survive the extreme conditions that we talk about here tonight. youn youngest survivor was just nine years old. 2 others survive8ely one person has survived 39,000 feet. >> we continue of course to follow this developing story on air and on line. our reporting continues rate now on twitter at 7 news bay area. >> breaking news out of san francisco presidio tonight. police investigate what initially reported as dynamite inside this red truck interthe indoor trampoline park on mason street. park police tell us they pulled over a car and the

driver said he had fireworks in the vehicle. that area is cordone off while the bomb squad determines if any danger. no word on when the area will rae open. >> update on the developing news. horrific accident that killed a little girl and shut down northbound 85 for hours today near cupertino. 3 other crash victims taken to the hospital. allen is live at valley medical center in svalle? >>reporter: when you see the images it's hard to believe how anyone survived the accident but tonight the people believed to be the mother of this little girl who died and her older brother are here at valley medical center along with the person who struck their vehicle from behind. >> never easy to see a collision of that magnitude especially with children involved. >>reporter: investigators not sure why but the 47-year-old cupertino woman believed to be the mother of 2 young passengers parked her minivan on the shoulder of northbound highway 85. it was about 3:30

in the afternoon when this jeep wrangler ran off the road and crashed into the rear end of the men van. >> the jeep did travel on to the shoulder and partially on to the dirt embankment then the front of the jeep collided that the machine van and then he continued to over turn and she traveled across all lanes of the freeway. >>reporter: young girl who period to be around 5 years of age died on impact even though she was strapped into a car seat. her older brother believed to be under 10 years of age was sitting in a booster chair and suffered moderate injuries. the woman suffered minor injuries. the chp says the driver of the jeep is a 56-year-old man from san jose. who had major injuries. >> unknown how fast he was traveling. why he was swerving and why he was on the shoulder. >>reporter: another jeep clipped to the minivan and not sure if the minivan had mechanical problems but they say drivers should avoid parking on the shoulder of the freeway unless they have no other choice. in the south

bay, abc 7 news. >> the we have new details tonight about the death of a teacher on the mountain. 50-year-old mill valley woman likely died of natural causes but the investigation is continuing. her body found last thursday afternoon after authorities notified that she failed to come home from a hik hike. officials say there is no link between her death and that of this woman whose body found a week earlier in the same area. >> this is an exciting time for the golden state were your and fans. in tfs and now ready to build a new arena across the bay. the warriors originally hoped to build arena on pier 30 and 32 but running into trouble and now as leslie explains, they bought land from sales force.com in mission bay. this vacant land is the new site for the warrior proposed arena in san francisco. south of at&t park near but not on

"washington post"reporter west lee shot the photo at the 26 mile mark right where the first bomb went off year ago. first 2 people tried to brace the exhausted runner but the leg just would not move so 2 more runners man and woman helped carry him. some spectators
