nothing more stupid for do but this is how you do it. >> we will follow the story on air and online. from san jose, police are investigating the city's twelfth homicide of the year. at 8:00, a man if his 40's was found with injuries, unconscious and not breathing along monterey road. emergency personnel pronounced him dead at the scene. police are not saying what weapon was used. >> four are displaced after a fire in san francisco. the fire began before 8:00 in the morning, in the three-story town house. firefighters say the fire started outside and spread inside. only the back of the house was damaged. family was away when it started and called 9-1-1 when they came home to the smoke and flames. >> a 46 yield san francisco man questioned by police for

explosives claims it was a big misunderstanding. it started at 9:30 in the presidio where the park police pulled over a truck near crissy field and smelled marijuana. the officers saw a fireworks in the back of the truck and called in the bomb squad. a rock climbing business and an indoor trampoline park were evacuated. the suspect says the fireworks were not his. >> why do you have a stick of dynamite? >> it was in the bed of the truck, this is the third one i found in there so i put it in the truck and wrapped it in cloth and went to go fishing. >> police searched his home and investigators brought several bags of evidence from the home and took it away. >> also new this morning, police are investigating a stabbing at a strip club in san francisco's north beach, cordoning off the entrance to the garden of eden,

when two men were stabbed and taken to the hospital the one has life-threatening injuries and the other is expected to be okay. they are trying to figure out what happened and identity the suspect. >> and testimony will begin in court for a county supervisor accused of peeking into a female neighbor's home in july. the 33 year old efren carrillo was arrested at 3:40 in the morning wearing just his socks and underwear. a woman called police claiming someone tried to enter her bedroom window and knocked on her door and identified himself as a neighbor and ran off. we ever claims his girlfriend gave him a ride home from a nightclub and he tried to visit the neighbor and entered alcohol treatment facility after the insurance consent and has publicly apologized for having a drinking problem. >> at the rain did little to help the drought in the bay area and tonight officials for dublin and livermore are holding a special meeting to discuss a proposed drought rate increase aimed at reducing water use by a

and south streets east of ucfs mission bay campus. they bought the land although there is no word on the price. the team gave us video of the neighbor and the sketches and at&t park is ten blocks not, different from the rest waterfront location that has more opposition. the team hopes to on the 18,000 seat arena and convention center by 2018. >> the supreme court upheld a michigan law banning using race as factor in college admission. the law is identical to california's proposition 209. michigan voters have the right to containing their state constitution to ban the law. in 1996 california became the first to outlaw the consideration of race in college admission. activists are holding a news conference this afternoon.

breaking news in the east bay, live pictures over the scene at dublin interchange after a trailer has rolled, and the trailer is blocking two lanes of the connection between westbound 580 and north 680. you can see that there is a long

line of traffic backed up because of this situation. what is interesting is that the truck was pulling a car carrier with two cars that were sold but right now there is a sig-alert in the area. no word on when the crews will get that interstate cleared, with big backups. >> four crew members from the south korean ferry disaster appeared in court. 22 of the 29 crew members survived and nine of them including the can't have been arrested or detained. one of the crew members say they tried to correct the ferry but nothing worked. crews are continuing to recover more bodies and now the debt toll is 113 with 190 still missing. the victims were mostly students from a single high school. >> in nepal the climbing season at mount everest is stopping after most mountain guides will not continue. many sherpas decided to pack up

and leave after attending a memorial at base camp today in honor of the 13 guides killed in an avalanche. three are still missing. it is the single most deadly accident on the mountain. a bay area man is among the survivors, 49-year-old says he supports the sherpa's decision to walk out and they are demanding better pay and for guides who are killed, better insurance and death benefits for families. >> the duke and duchess of cambridge visited an australian landmark as they continue the tour. they are following in the footsteps of william's parents, prince charles and princess di who made a similar trip three deck as ago. per hour more widespread than what we are dealing with now, and sun goes down and the atmosphere decouples and by midnight the wins are coming down and are light tomorrow morning except for the higher elevations leading to cooler conditions. tonight right now are anywhere from two to six degrees cooler and a lost upper 50's to low 60's and san francisco is at 56, and half moon bay at 55 and this is how it looks from south beach if you have lunch that is what you are looking at, the water, you do not see the white caps but they will be there when you head home under the breezy and cooler and sunny skies, and cooler tonight with rain on friday through sunday and sharks are laying in los angeles tonight, so, the shark tank is quiet but it and sunshine as we look down on the team that has the lead on the kings. two to ten degrees cooler and the south bay in the east bay valleys, the areas that will see the biggest drop in temperatures, and mid-to-upper 60's in the south bay today with

low-to-mid 60's on the peninsula and mid-to-upper 50's along the coast and 60 in downtown and south san francisco, and mid-60's through the north bay and ten degrees cooler at the beach and mid-60's along the east bay shore and money -- mid-to-upper 60's. the temperatures will be cool at game and dropping down for 52 but it will be windy, so be prepared for that. check out the 30's in the deepest valleys, and moments of us in the mid-to-upper 40's. the seven-day forecast show increasing clouds and two to six degrees warmer and sprinkles are possible across the thought bay and we have a better chance of measurable rain thursday night into friday morning and a lesser chance on saturday night into sunday morning and next week, spring warmth and above-average temperatures in the forecast but unsettled until we get there. back to you. >> thank you, still ahead, who knows katy perry best?
