child. this happened a few hours ago at 10:30 this morning. near the dam, bat mile from the golf course. investigators say the woman was suicidal and came to the park with her one-year-old daughter and no one else. she was distraught and stabbed her child. he woman's name has not been released but may be from the south bay. she is being held without bail. police will be out here for several more hours. most of the park is still open while the investigation continues. thank you for the update. now to other big news. the nba shaken today by racist remarks allegedly made by the man who owns the l.a. clippers. let's good right to nick smith who is live at oracle arena the oakland, where the clippers play the warriors tomorrow. how tide this come out? reporter: came out because a recording was posted to the

thank you. many canadians welcomed our recent rain despite a few headaches it created in san joaquin valley. drivers navigated on flooded streets. slick pavement triggered spinouts and minor accidents. hail pelted many people including a farmer and his nectarines. >> real nice until the hail started coming down. we welcome the rain. it's good. still too early to tell if the hail damaged the nectarines. many farmers, especially sit crews growers, face a severe lack of water and severe economic hardship because of the drought. a dog in oakland nearly died after stepping on to a pg&e sidewalk grate that had electricity flowing through it. the bloodhounds odd owner wants to know how this helped. tiffani wilson is live from the scene of the accident.

today 170 children in san jose took advantage of free dentals' vision screenings. the event responsible sponsored by the healthier kids foundation. experts say eye and teeth problems can adversely affect nutrition, growth, and classroom performance for young ones. >> we actually find many children, 10% under five, actually have vision problems. and we're seeing 25% of the children coming in needing dental care, and so this is actually giving them that information. an estimated 110,000 children in santa clara county have untreat edible issues.
