home on brentwood drive near larkin drive. a few blocks away a chopper landed to airlift the 3-year-old child to children's hospital oakland. firefighters say the child has head injuries, though should survive. it looks like an ordinary moving truck, but tonight it is one of the most controversial vehicles in the bay area. it is called the hookup truck. a place for adults to hookup. abc7 news reporter in the mission district with details of the truck's debut. sergio? >> that's it right there. it doesn't look like a whole lot from the outside, but the creator of the hookup truck says it is a safe place for adults who may have met the right person at the moment but may not have a place to meet that person exactly. for $75 per half hour the space inside can be rented out, but not everyone is rolling out the red carpet for this project. at its first ever stop, the hookup truck was not allowed anywhere near oakland's first

father's request. a spokesperson says they cannot explain why citing privacy concerns. and at mineta san jose international airport where they began the death defying journey there are calls for better security. he toured the grounds and he wants higher fences and new motion detecting security cameras in stalled. >> new details about the federal raid of a petaluma slaughter house that lead to a massive meat recall earlier this year. the documents show the rancho feeding corporation in petaluma was purchasing diseased cows and processing them when inspectors weren't around. cancerous growths were trimmed on the heads of sick cows and were replaced with those from healthy animals. the documents also found a plant foreman was in a a romantic relationship with awe sda inspector. a major crackdown in the bay area on massage parlors police say are fronts for prostitution and more. a half year investigation ends

in arrests and seizures of drugs, guns and cash in four east bay cities. abc7 news reporter alan wang is live in one of them, san lorenzo, with the story. alan? >> dan, this massage parlor and the others are red tagged which means they are closed until the courts can make a decision. no johns were arrested, but they saw a few men trying to walk in while the raid was in progress and realized what was going on and quickly tried to shuffle away. >> we thought it was a regular massage parlor. >> not uh -- according to the district attorney. they said it was one of 13 east bay brothels busted today. an insurance broker next door heard the police storm the massage parlor. >> they were yelling about the search warrant. i thought i heard them say someone was nude. >> other employees say the arrests were not surprising at all. >> it was so obvious what was

happening in there. >> what were you seeing? >> just men coming in. no women. >> the district attorney's office says the operation that involved 400 officers was triggered by community complaints. >> what we have been able to accomplish is to attack these businesses in an innovative and comprehensive manner. >> the d.a. arrested 18 people. they seized their property and assets and shutdown their businesses and charged them with money laundering and tax evasion 1k3 labor violations. human trafficking charges could be added after the interviews with 50 women found. those women won't be charged. in the east bay, alan wang, abc7 news. >> years after a landslide drove people from their san pablo homes, the problem persists. >> dan noyes is here with one homeowner's serious allegations. >> dan and carolyn, why is a fix taking so long? is there a city government cover up? i will show you four slides on

officials of keeping a secret that wound up getting several homes red tagged. >> they are investigating what lead to the landslide there. >> carolyn and dan, it has been three years since the san pablo slide and the hillside still is not fixed. a deal to settle all of the lawsuits and get the repairs done is ready to be signed, but one neighbor refuses. he accused -- accuses the city officials of a cover up. >> it is going to get worse before it gets better. >> joe is fighting mad. he lives just above the san pablo slide, but he won't sign a deal to fix the hillside because it lets the city off the hook. >> they should step forward and accept their responsibility. the history is there. the documentation is there. >> the ordeal began on march 25th, 2011. neighbors on wyman street woke up to see their yards falling away. and those living down the hill

on hillcrest road watched the slow motion slide send mud up to their homes over the course of several weeks. >> there is nothing to stop this mud from overtaking our house. >> stunned residents moved out of their homes and inspectorred inspectorred -- inspurs ruled it it -- ruled it unsafe. >> it is going down the hill. there is no way to stop it. >> city officials held meetings to find ways to help. they of on erred to temporarily -- they offered to shore up the hillside and couldn't find money to do it. then they applied for state and federal disaster aid and that didn't work. >> we have indications from the state and federal government that this is a private property situation and the funds will not be coming to fix the situation for the homeowners. >> the homeowners were on their own. the lawsuit started flying. the downhill neighbors are suing the uphill neighbors. the uphill suing the downhill. all of them going for the

city. >> six houses that are affected. it has to be a city problem. >> one of the neighbors happens to be a licensed land surveyor. he spotted something on the old maps. a drain designed and approved by san pablo city engineer in 1955 to deal with the previous landslide. the soil investigation report at the time said the purpose of the drain is to remove sub surface waters and prevent the build up of water pressures in the compacted fills and minimize the possibility of slides. >> they never disclosed the drain system was there. they never inspected it. they never maintained it. they basically hid it and tried to cover it up jie. it was a bad design with the open joint pipes that allowed the water to flow across the hillside. it took just three years after the drain was installed for another slide to claim a chunk of the hillside. >> in 1958 they knew it was a

bad design when it blew out the hillside. they should have taken the rest of it out. they didn't. they left it there. >> they blame the drainage system and the hillside has seen a total of four. >> 58 and then 83. >> and this one. >> alan is a long-time geologist hired by san pablo to address the slide. he says the drain is not the issue, but the steep angle at which the developer graded the hillside in the 1950s and poor quality of compacted fill material in the project. >> given enough time and rain, after awhile that rain and landscape irrigation weakens the ground. and in a period of fairly heavy rain in the spring of 201 up with, it was time for that hill to start sliding. >> that was enough to convince the lawyers in the various lawsuits. they agreed to dismiss the

city as a defendant and they have come up with a settlement. $900,000 from the neighbor's insurance policy to shore up the hillside and install a drainage system. some of the money will pay for repairs to homes damaged by the slide. the property owners are releasing any and all claims against the city. that's why joe refuses to sign. he is concerned about another slide in the future and the city ducking responsibility. >> the city manager and the city attorney is priority number one and it is avoiding responsibility. that has been the total focus. public safety, not a big deal. if this thing goes, well it goes. >> the city manager and the city attorney did not return my phone calls or e-mails. but they allowed their geologist to go on camera and explain their position. if romi doesn't agree to the deal and it appears he won't it co-ld beheaded toward a mandatory binding

here is the trough that brought the changes today. the cooling trend has begun. you really feel it on saturday. you go from 80s and 90s to 70s. you will notice. it is this area of low pressure that will reinforce our sea breeze and deepen the marine layer so going into sunday you will continue to see very thick marine layer. tomorrow morning fog around the coast and the bay and patches are moving inland. we will start out with some extra high clouds tomorrow morning. we will call it fog and clouds for the morning hours. upper 40s to the mid50s. if you step outside in the morning for any early plans make sure you bundle up. highs for your saturday they are going come down a little more. 76 morgan hill and 73 san jose. 76 in los gatos. 71 in sunnyvale. the temperatures are quite comfortable. redwood city, menlo menlo park. 59 in pacifica. the fog will linger and the
