and ace train one and three are on time if not a minute early. it is looking slow over the altamont pass and we are seeing a bit more traffic as they head out of address into livermore. the area mike has been talking about is wet so you could see slick conditions if you make the drive in the westbound direction. be careful. in dublin or down highway 84 to the sunol grade it is moving along fine and further to the south through fremont and milpitas it is clear and san jose, all moving along at top speed. >> developing news from the south bay, where a crime laboratory technician has been reassigned following botched tests in methamphetamine cases. matt is in san jose with more on the story document we know what happened? >> yes, this is the santa clara drug laboratory. the error impacted drug results of six people from early this

year. the d.a. says the error took place from john through march. crime laboratory workers used the wrong chemical to conduct tests on 2,500 suspects increasing sensitivity. the district attorney says that the mistake resulted in six false positives and it was discovered in april. none of the six are in custody. the d.a. is notified 2,500 other defendants and their lawyers their test results were processed during the period in yesterday. analysts who made the mistake has been reassigned from the drug testing doubts until a review can take place of what, exactly, happened. >> international community are turning up the pressure to free hundreds of teen girls kidnapped by aist group in nigeria affiliated with al qaeda. katie marzullo is in the newsroom. >> leader of the group is saying

in a video that allah has instructed him to sell the girls and it is believed some have been sold into sex slavery. they kidnapped 300 from the school april 15, and 53 escaped. a reporter who talked with one of the girls calls them rare and heroes. the white house says the united states will do everything possible to find and rescue the rest of the girls but a state department spokeswoman does not anticipate sending troops. law enforcement officials say the f.b.i. is standing ready for a possible deployment. the nigerian president has appealed to president obama to "assist us and send people." there have been rallies including in los angeles. we want to show our love for fellow sisters and daughters in nigeria being kidnapped and rained and sold. >> the hard tag are viral and

celebrities including chris brown using this. the group that has the goals is against educating women. the leader has threatened to attack more schools and abduct more girls. a warning to dog owners in san francisco after tainted meatballs remain, again, discovered in the city. the latest discovery was made yesterday morning near the sunset reservoir at 24th and or ortega. there was a plate of meatballs stuffed with tainted pills. some were found in outer richmond. last year a dog died easing the meatballs. >> board will meet to discuss the fate of a colleague acquitted of peeping charges and discuss if any action should be taken against the supervisor efren carrillo. the meeting is set for 10:00

oakland and groups have expressed for the measure to protect continuants from increases of more than 10 percent a year after august 1. it denies landlords the right to pass on the costs of upgrades to tenants. >> tenants received a note that says current and future tenants are each required to have an annual income of $100,000 and a credit score of at least 725 to live there. the head of the housing rights group says the landlord cannot rescreen tenants and it is harassment and is illegal. an error in the ballot for june 3 primary cost an estimated $100,000 to fix with the county registrar said measure a was placed on all ballots and voter information pamphlets which provides funding to the marin county free library by extending

way into the home of an elderly couple and robbed them at gunpoint. this man terrorized an 83-year-old woman and her 91-year-old husband on saturday forcing them to give up wedding rings and other jewelry. the robber got away and the victims were not physically hurt. >> new developments after two bodies were discovered in a home in south san jose. police do not believe there is a suspect at large. two men were found dead from gunshot wounds at the town house on cherry view lane near the intersection of highways 85 and 87. investigators have not said whether the incident was a murder-suicide but they have releaseed the identities. >> in southern california, interstate 15 is expected to be closed until at least this afternoon after an overpass caught fire and collapseed. it caused a traffic nightmare in

the main link between los angeles and las vegas. crews have been working all night to demolish the overpass. work to repair the damage will take at least six months. a pursuit involving the c.h.p. ended in a crash. it happened off highway 12 at fulton in santa rosa. the c.h.p. says it was responding to reports of a possibly suicidal driver and officer say the driver refused to pull over and ran a red light. the driver slammed into an s.u.v. and a second vehicle at least three people, then, were taken to the hospital with one in critical condition. >> the father of a toddler missing from his car last summer has taken his own life. the 50-year-old john anthony webb talked of committing suicide for months after the disappearance of his daughter. she disappeared in july. he said she was taken when he

left her in the car with the mother who suffers from dementia while he went into a grocery store on international boulevard. cinco demayo celebrations were peaceful yesterday and santa clara street a trouble spot was trouble-free in contrast to sunday when san jose police arrested 21 people. police beefed up patrols with the officers focused on downtown, specifically, 4th and santa clara and east san jose at the intersection of story and king road. the berkeley city council will vote whether to okay use of tasers by the police officer. last month a mentally ill man beat an officer unconscious. the city manager will investigatory police department best practices and protocols for when to use the tasers a contentious issue where many
