the teacher slapped him twice because he didn't know the answer to a math problem and the teacher claims he patted the boy but did not slap him. >> my son showed me he was slapped in the face and i asked a kid the same day in his class, what happened in class today and he went, he planned joey in the face like that. it is not a pat. my son is not going to cry for nothing. >> the school is moving his son to another classroom and we reached out to fremont police and they say this is still an active investigation. in fremont for abc7 news. police in oakley detain a man in connection with a homicide investigation, after being called to a home yesterday afternoon before 4:00, and they got there the officers found the victim on the ground. officers and paramedics tried to revive the man but he died at the scene.

a man is detabled in connection with the case but he is not named. >> petaluma police are looking for a man who stole a flatbed trailer in petaluma. this picture is the suspect captured from surveillance video. he got a flatbed trailer from a rental and never returned it. they believe he pulled the same stunt in oakland and in southern california. >> he could be driving this truck with a camper shell on it. if you recognize the suspect or the truck, call petaluma police. sonoma county supervisor efren carrillo will not face a formal censure from the colleagues afterening acquitted for being a peeping tom. this is after calls for him to resign from both his fellow supervisors and constituents during tuesday's board meeting in santa rosa. the press dome reports that the board chairman now has no plans to censure efren carrillo or force him to resign. efren carrillo vowed he will

been rescued from a hoarders' house in monterey county, 18 dogs and cats were found in small filthy rooms. it was such a strong smell it was difficult to breathes for humane workers. they all had a various ride of diseases. charges will be filed. >> a tree trimmer accused of killing baby birds said he screwed up. the man from bay respondent is apologizing for what happened. he says when he realized birds were remain whatted he phoned the international bird rescue and offered to pay for the care of the surviving birds. several birds including a protected heron were injured after they chopped off branches holding nests and threw the branches into a wood chipper. the post office ordered the trimming because birds were making a mess on the postal

trucks and some of the birds are protected. >> pg&e agreed not to cut down any trees or contact homeowner about removing trees for six months and the city will not sue the utility. which calls for pg&e and the city to find a solution to cut down 735 trees to allow better access to the natural gas pipelines. the utility still has to deal with trees from bakersfield that drop 7,000 miles gasolines. other cities are opposing tree-cutting proposals in the statewide pipeline pathways program. the president's speech on energy at mountain view's wal-mart this morning will go hand in hand with the announcement that the white house is now solar-powered. the installation of american machine made panels is part of a retrofit to improve the overall energy efficiency of the building. other improvements including installation of updated building
