the bus driver was saying come back, come back. >> the scene of the crash is incredibly almost three quarters of a mile from where police found the children. police say the kids took off down the street on their own and kept going until security guards stopped them. >> i believe the protocol is that they're not supposed to go off the bus. >> the school district was still trying to reach some parents hours later. to let them know where children are, whether there are injuries. >> police say the driver was trying to go around a stopped vehicle but ran on to the island >> we're checking into the background to make sure he has credentials in order. >> police say he was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol but kizzy busby does wish he kept his cool. he was kind of cursing at the kids and yell and they were really scared you know?

>> a supervisor declined to comment the school district will conduct it own investigation. >> burglars used a car in a smash and grab today in berkeley driving a car through the store's glass front to steal merchandise thchl is reportedly happening in apple stores in southern california and germany. the car was being removed. >> the daughter of porn pioneer arty mitchell has been arrested in connection of an identity theft ring. the 33-year-old taken into custody yesterday in a lodge in tiburon. the secret service and homeland security believe she is connected to a large scale identity theft ring. authorities had been searching large scale hotels for her. and they say she had counterfeit

developing news out of arizona a pilot is unscatheed after this happened. his military plane crashed in the deserts south of phoenix jet went out around 3:00 this afternoon after experiencing engine trouble. you can see charred wreckage.

the jet and pilot out of the air station yuma. he only had a small cut on the nose. >> two weeks ago a teacher flying from half moon bay to amador county. a report says the hawker was trying to pass the cessna. as the hawker passed he heard a thump then saw the cessna go down in the bay. the pilot david plum was killed the hawker has damage the pilot and wife were not hurt. >> a new admission is raising concerns about unmapped aircraft in u.s. skies. saying a jet nearly collided by a jet in march. word made public for the first time at a drone conference yesterday in san francisco.

>> outrage over the kidnapping of nigerian school girls is expected to fuel a greater campaign this weekend sunday is mother's day. still missing are 270 girls kidnapped by an extremist group. abc7 news reporter leanne melendez is here with what local groups are doing. >> social media can be a very strong influence. now, the hash tag bring back our girls has now been tweeted well over a million times. first lady michelle obama joined the campaign political strategist christine pelosi rallied for the release of the girls. at cal, the students association announced it's members will have an emergency town hall meeting on sunday to address the crisis in the country the director says they'll use social media to support their
