and the crew would not told me what was going on but there was obvious signs of water into the lanes of southbound 101. they had a big hose in a hell on the side of the road. they are obviously working on something there. they said it was potholes but this is a bigger problem, a bigger mess and an infrastructure problem. they will be out here all day long waiting to clean up the mess before they get started on the infrastructure issue. now, this is a non-commute direction so that means the morning hours are okay with backup at the southbound connection but the afternoon could be a real problem because a lot people will head home this way. now, this is, again, supposed to be open at 5:00 this afternoon. we will keep you updated on abc7 news. matt, thank you.

you cannot feel the heat but it is very warm and we are climbing our way to triple digits. turning your hair dryer and stand under it and you get the idea. we have breaking news, a seemingly simple pothole repair has turned into a sig-alert and could be a problem. matt keller is in san jose with more. >> they thought it was simple but now it is a big mess and they are trying to clean it up and fix the problem. the stretch of 880 gets backed up in the morning anyway and now it will be a lot worse because connection to southbound 101 is blocked off. i walked to the bottom of the ramp half an hour ago to southbound 101 and found a crew with a big hose in the ground and they would not comment on what happened but it was obvious there was a flooding issue and several lanes of the highway were wet and caltrain said it

oakland police are asking for the public's help to fine a seven year old girl. she is african-american, about 4' talk, 50 pounds, brown eyes and brown hair. oakland police say she was last seen at her home on 73rd avenue at 6:00, wearing a black shirt, blue jeeps and black tennis shoes with no amber alert issues but she is considered at risk because she is only seven. police in richmond are looking for a hit-and-run driver who rammed into a car and left two injured at 9:00 last night. video shows the victims pulled from the crumbled car. the driver ran off left the truck filled with construction materials. a memorial is scheduled for a half moon bay stunt pilot killed in an air show crash. the 77-year-old was flying
