hour. new this morning the bay area's largest city is putting off a final decision on new restrictions for medical marijuana after people on both sides of the issue showed up in force at san jose's city council meeting. katie marzullo is in the newsroom. katie? >> there are 100 medical marijuana dispensaries in san jose. a lot of people have stake in the issue whether they operate, patronize or live or work near a club. the proposed changes include no dispensaries 1,000 feet of schools, day care, churches, rec centers, parks, libraries and other dispensaries and they have to be 500 feet from rehab centers and 150' from homes so that takes away a lost -- lot of locations. all marijuana must be grown at a site in san jose by the dispensaries. there are parking and liter problems, the mel is too strong

shore. officials say the commission seeking to revoke the accreditation of city college of san francisco can change rules to give the school more time to fix the deficiencies and avoid closure. the "san francisco chronicle" reports that federal education officials toll the paper that the commission is not only able to extend the july 31 deadline but there is no time limit on the extension it can provide. that contradicts the commission that could not extend the deadline because of federal rules. so far it has refused to grand more time to city college and the next meeting is june 4th in sacramento. shareholders and consumer groups are planning rallies outside google headquarters in mountain view when the giant holds the annual meeting and jesse jackson will be there as part of the rainbow coalition. he is promoting participation of people of color in the technical industry. other groups expected are urging the company to disclose what it spends on lobby is -- lobbyists

witnesses say there were three cars at the seen -- seen. when police arrived two cars left. the only car remaining was the car that crashed. a passenger was killed happening on richmond parkway. people would live on the street came running out when they hear the crash and say there were men there and they were distraught but they took off before police arrived. a woman agreed to talk about what happened but did not want to show her face on camera. >> we seen the car had crashed with the passenger inside and we seen two other cars, a charger and a camaro or a corvette and the person that came out of that vehicle screamed loud "i killed her, i killed her."

palo alto. they hope that cuts down on the crime. they are not taking any chances. they are letting the public know of this public safety issue and they are including extra patrols. we are learning the second united states patient diagnosed with mers spent hours sitting in a florida emergency room before he was seen by a doctor and the 44-year-old was a health care provider in saudi arabia and went to the hospital after getting symptoms. he sat in the e.r. for four hours before seeing a doctor and another four hours before he was diagnosed with m.e.r.s. and moved to isolation so there was more exposure and 20 hospital workers are monitors. the hospital is calling it a "learning lesson." >> in south africa the judge in the oscar pistorius trial ordered the double amputee to under go psychiatric tests.

accidents and now a brand new crash northbound 87 so san jose is getting picked on this morning but it is involving a school bus and it is blocking one lane. there are no children on board and we will get confirmation on that as we look at what else is helping across san jose the accident westbound along 237 coming up to first street and northbound 101, we will take a few looks outside starting with the golden gate bridge and see how quiet the traffic is running smoothly into the sun so pack your sunglasses and as we take a look over to the bay bridge toll plaza, the drive is looking quite slow and it will take you 20 minutes to make the drive from oakland maze to san francisco so it is at a standstill and the san mateo bridge is not too bad, about 15 minutes to head from hayward to foster city and traffic is moving with no crashes. a popular resting spot for runners will be off limits
