at this point, crews are still dousing the home with water. if you take a look at sky 7 hd video, you can see what it looked like when flames were really going. they were jumping 0-20 feet off of the roof. this all started as a grass fire, firefighters tell me, that is according to the gilroy fire department. they say they got the call at 1:37, and found the fire spread from grass into the attic of the home. one man in his 50s or 60s was safely evacuateed and not injured. however, a chicken coop did go up in flames, firefighters had to import water and tankers so we ran out. at one point, brought in a helicopter to do bucket drops and hand stretched a line over to a nearby subdivision a quarter mile away to hook up to a hydrant. with water complications, you mentioned the meet. it's 100 degrees here, so cal
