of the hole that is going through. >>reporter: bay bridge spokesperson victor says earthquake could cause friction and damage the rods but the problem can be fixed. >> it doesn't present any risk to the seismic performance of the bridge nor interfere with the 150 year life span of the bridge. >>reporter: but 85 percent of the rods are off center and professor says cal-trans is down playing the seriousness of the problem. >> 5 percent of the operation in construction, you can be it's okay. but unheard of out of 2 70 rod, 2 05 are off. which means they are creating. >>reporter: cal-trans will take months and millions of dollars to fix it. but there's no date when that work will begin. on treasure island, abc 7 news. is. >> in the east bay police say

gun waving woman is dead after being shot by a cop. it happened in concord and amma is there live tonight. take it through it. >>reporter: there was a woman who was killed this evening in officer involved shooting right in front of the house you see across the street. in fact her body is still in the walkway. now investigators have been on scene from the police department also from the district attorney's office. police tell me this happened shortly after 5:30. woman called 911 saying someone was trying to kill her and that she was suicidal. when they arrived they found a woman with a handgun. they say she pointed it at officers when one officer fired a shot killing her. a lot of people who live on the street have been coming by trying to find out what happened because the scene was so frightening. is. >> we saw police with, nealing with guns drawn hyped the parked car right outside the house there and my daughter
